Morris Tree Service

Mr. Morris had to take my gate down to gain access to back yard-it was replaced perfectly. He also trimmed 2 other trees for access also-at no extra charge. He did what he said he would do-it's as simple as that!

Did get almost all trees cut and removed

Did not grind all stumps to adequate level for leveling the ground.
Did not grind all stumps.
Did not grind multiple exposed roots as agreed.
Five months ago said would be back to finish.
Have not seen or heard from him since.
Will have to pay someone else to finish job.

Mr. Morris came to my house shortly after I called him. After looking at the work to be done, he gave me a firm price quote on the spot. He and his son and grandson came when he said they would come and completed the job as quoted. Actually, they did more trimming than I had expected. I love my trees (and my roof). I think he did an excellent job. All the finish cuts at the trees were done properly (in my in expert opinion).

Our lot is very wooded, we value our trees, and have found Mr. Morris to be a good caretaker of our trees. When he has come to cut for us or a neighbor, he also looks over all our trees to spot other problems. Jerry Morris is a certified arborist and looks to the proper growth pattern of trees while respecting the preferences of the homeowner. Some of the places he has cut or trimmed have been very tight, and we have had no damage to any walks, walls, or other structures or plants in our garden. I would never trust another company to cut in spaces like that. The company is very well equipped to do any job large or small.

I had two pathetic-looking maple trees in my front yard. I wanted someone to come look at them to see if they could be saved. I really hate to cut down trees, but these two were utterly depressing. Mr. Morris was the only person who bothered to explain to me that even though the trees were not dead, they would not thrive. When I explained that I really wanted trees in that location, he said he would not only take out the old ones but also plant some healthy oaks in their places. When I got home from work one day, it was all done. Mr. Morris has also come back to check on the trees. He removed the wrappings this past week (6-7-12) and left me a note to say he would return to remove the stakes when he felt the trees could support themselves. Thank you, Mr. Morris!

It wasn't a good experience. I picked them from Angie's list. It's my rental house but my son and his wife lives there. We had told him a certain date it had to be done r before that because it was my grand daughter's birthday. They were having party in the backyard where they were taking down the trees. They told me that it would be clean and all done by that day and it wasn't. They had cut all the trees down and not removed any of them by the day of the party. I was not happy. They would come and work for an hour or two and then they left and I might not see them for another two days. I wasn't happy with them at all. I would call them and they said it would be done. They had a party with the yard full of logs and branches. When finally they took the log out of the yard, they damaged the roof. I just happened to see there. I had my son look at it and some of the shingles were damaged. I told him I would pay him when the work would be done. They said they would fix the roof and that took a while. My daughter in law had to manually clear the little spots of the branches herself for the party. I would not have them again.

They were responsive.

Jerry Morris was very punctual. He is very knowledgeable. He is an arborist so he doesn't just whack off limbs but he takes the tree's shape into consideration. He cleans up after himself. He is very fast. His prices are a little high but I have not done a lot of comparison-shopping. For what he did, it just seemed a little high. We talked him down a little bit on the price he gave us initially.

Mr. Morris provided a quote in a timely manner after coming out to inspect the tree. He was available to start work the next day. When I came home from work, it was done, including cleanup. Quick and easy and professional. He followed up with me in a few days to see if I was satisfied. I would definitely use his services again.

Went as promised

I called Morris Tree Service at 8:30 in the morning. He said he would call me back with an estimate. He did....less than two hours from the initial call. By 12:30 the same day, the tree and stump were gone!!! I would defiantly recommend them.

I called for an estimate in April and due to bad weather the project had to wait til May 10, 2011.
They had to use the neighbor's driveway to get to our backyard. At no time was the neighbor inconvenienced.
They had to remove a portion of the privacy fence too.
They did what I asked in a timely manner.
They picked up after themselves and restored the section of the privacy fence removed to haul away debris.

Overall, the experience was excellent. He's wonderful. I found him on Angie's List and I've used his services several times. He just does an overall good job. I thought the price was great considering the size of the trees. He always arrives on time for his scheduled appointment. He takes everything away; the cleanup is great. I'm happy with his services and I've already recommended him to my neighbors (which they have used his services and are pleased as well).

Mr. Morris was very professional. He was on-time for the estimate and came out to do the work promptly the next week. We are very pleased with the work he did and would definitely use him again if we needed additional tree service.

I contacted Mr. Morris on a Friday about the tree being removed. He had previously been by to look at it (in the fall of 2009) and I waited unti the wet winter passed before contacting him again. He came the very next day and removed the tree and roots and stump. He added sod.......you can't tell a tree was even there. And the tree was in the corner of my brick retaining wall. No damage done to the wall at all.

They did a good job and I was very pleased, once they arrived. They were supposed to come one morning, and never showed, never called, their cell phone was either off or out of range. I finally contacted them about 4 p.m., and they said that something had come up. I did not press the matter, they offered no other explanation. The experience, once they were here, was good enough that I would overlook this and hire them again in the future. They arrived with all the equipment they needed, and more. The trucks and other equipment looked well maintained, and the group worked well together. Each man knew his job and it was almost like they had telepathy, each doing his part. They worked quickly and efficiently, not slowing until the work was complete. They cleaned up completely, and offered to take a few pieces of a large log I already had on the ground.

Mr. Morris cut the tree and instead of grinding the stump, cut the tree down deep since the area the tree was in is sinking. Mr Morris suggested that I add soil to the area instead of grinding the stump. When I got home the tree was gone and the clean up was so excellent that you couldn't even tell that a tall, skinny tree had even been in that spot. Mr. Morris even put the grass back down.

A friend told me about him and I called. He came the next day, to give his estimate and came back three days later, to do the job. Really cleaned up well and was totally excellent.
