MAYO AIR CONDITIONING & HEATING

We have an agreement signed with them so they come out twice a year and check then if we need them we call them. They are a wonderful company. They handle the Trane air conditioners and I think there is one other kind. They are kind of basic Trane and they are really really good. They are excellent. They are great people, very nice people. These people are just great. We have been giving them such good ratings and people we know and people who have moved in we've told them to call Mayo's.They have called us back and said they are excellent. They have been very pleased with them. People have not been disappointed by them. They have been in business for years. It's daddy hands on down to sons. They are a family company. We know the kids and daddy.

They are always excellent. Favorite people to deal with. It went very well! I called and they came out. It's hard to get people in the south for A/C, and they responded quickly.

The mayo team provided excellent customer service and response to all of my questions. They were finished in 4 days. they were on time every day, polite, & cleaned up after they were finished with the job. I gathered 5 quotes from local contractors and mike mayo was the most professional and fair. I would recommend Mayo Air to anyone for any Air Conditioning/Heating needs. Top notch service and people.

These guys are extremely knowledgeable.  They listened to what I was asking and then took their own assessment.  From there we were able to agree on a design and implement it.  When the were scheduled to work, they showed up on time, did an excellent job, and cleaned up their mess.  I was very impressed with the workmanship.  My only gripe is it took a few phone tags to get the appointment settled up, but it really wasn't that big of an issue.  Use these guys, you will not regret it.

came out for free estimate, gave 2 for different quality unit. arrived and did a professional job. protected carpet with cover and cleaned up nicely when done. stress free.

Mike Mayo was extremely professional ensuring I received the best value for my dollar and didn't sell me anything I didn't need.  He offered a reasonable price and provided quality workmanship.  I would highly recommend him for any air conditioning or heating needs.

We have actually used Mayo's services since 1993 and have always been
pleased with their service and price. After Hurricane Katrina, I called
on a whim to see if I could reach them, since our heat pump had been
flooded. I knew that their shop had been flooded, but I tried and got
voice mail. Two days later Mike Mayo was at our house, and in two weeks
we had a new heat pump installed and air conditioning to help dry out
the house.
We have used Mayo to service, expand, and repair our
system whenever it was needed - most recently to replace a faulty
relay. They have always been responsive and professional.

In late February, the compressor fan motor on my heat pump finally died. Picking almost at random from web search results, I called Mayo. They had a repairman out within an hour. He examined the problem, gave me a quote on a new motor, and pointed out that with the motor repairs running at about 15% of complete replacement, I might consider that option. He also pointed out that there is a 30% tax credit this year for 15+ SEER systems. No pressure, no hard-sell, he disconnected the compressor so that I could run on aux heat strips for a few weeks while I thought over my options. No charge (yeah!) for the service call. So I called back in two days for a quote, and and another guy showed right on time. I asked for a couple of price options, and he emailed six(!) four days later. While talking, I mentioned that I was having another company out for a quote (Adolph Bourdin from Pass Christian), and he spoke highly of them, warned me that there was a real problem with some of the other local contractors, but that Bourdin was very reputable and that I’d be happy with either company. So I got all the estimates, liked the estimate from Mayo a little better -- slightly better price, slightly larger unit. But the prices were all about in line, I just picked the option that suited me best. Went with a Goodman heat pump in the end, because web searches turned up that they’re trying to be the low-cost, high-quality, made-in-America heat pump option (sounds good to me). When can we install? Is day after tomorrow good for you? Yeah, that’ll be fine. Expect us at nine. So on the click of nine, two guys roll in with a truck, say “hi”, and get to work. With a few breaks to get more parts and have lunch, they were testing the unit and explaining how to run it to me by 4:30, and rolled out with the job finished at 4:58 (yeah, I looked at my watch). I stopped by Mayo’s office the next morning and paid the bill, and got the warranty forms in the mail yesterday. Two cold snaps later, things are working just as they should. I wish all contractor interactions went this well.
