They overcharged me. I gave me a bid of $12,000 and went up to 16,000. I am not happy with them at all. When the job was done he put a two year warranty on the wall but the wall started tilting after a year and half. When I called him he did not answer my call. This guy said that my wall is tilting, and I spent $16000 with his company. They just wanted the money from me. He was very professional when he came. I saw him on the home show and the wall he did was nice. He did five walls. He put down six or seven pavers. I told him I wanted a driveway in the back. He also put a retaining wall throughout the driveway. I told him I wanted it 80 feet long and 20 feet wide. He put many pavers. He came back and said it will cost another $6,000. I told him that we had agreed on $12,000. I told him I wanted 6 inches of rock in the concrete and he did not do that. They just put half inch. The reason I went with him was because he was professional and he said he was going to put a grid. He did not do it in the first but he did it in the end. I guarantee he did not do all the work the way he said. He did not put the rock in there either. The guy was arrogant. He had the highest bid and it was ridiculous. He never returned my call after that. He can?t put asphalt on a inch of rock. When I asked him he said that he did not do driveway. I don?t know what to do. The quality of work they have done is very bad. He raised the price and it was a bad deal on the whole.

"I am not going to waste a lot of time on this issue but this customer refused to pay the final payment of his contract. He kept asking for more and more and finally we had to say no, we gave him alot extras at no additional cost. Very little of what he said in his report is true, if you can make sense of it. He wanted his wall taller and when we said no he said he understood but that he wasn't going to pay me my final installment. I had had enough and told him that was fine because as contractors sometimes we can only take so much. I did warranty the wall for two years. He called me in 2010 (over 2 years after the warranty was over) and I told him that I would look at it. I did and determined that the area that was leaning was where he added extra block. Additionally, he contacted the BBB and they closed the case with no merit on his part, and our company's record remains perfect with the BBB. It is unfortunate that Angie's List does not call the contractor and ask their side of the story before allowing people to post complete lies about a contractor. When I called Angie's list to dispute this they told me that the only way was to respond here. So now I wait for a back and forth with this guy, who got more than his moneys worth, but refused to make his final payment and then wants to post this nonsense on this nonsensical board because he has nothing better to do. ALL BECAUSE I WOULDN'T COME OUT AND FIX SOMETHING THAT HAD BEEN OUT OF WARRANTY FOR OVER 2 YEARS, THAT HE SCREWED UP. Anyone that puts any merit in Angie's list must be crazy. I am sure none of you will read this though because when I was on the phone with Angie's List customer service they told me there was no way they could do anything about his post. When I asked them if I told what I thought about Angie's list they said they would take my post off. Funny how that works. But we will see. If you look further down there is another client, same thing, he wouldn't pay me. I actually turned him to collections and now he pays me a small amount every month. Funny how the complaints are from the ones that are cheap and don't pay. But Angie's list just lets the posts go."

They came out after about seven months when the work started falling apart in the retaining wall portion. He took a look and said he would be right out to repair it. Two and a half years later, it still isn't done. When they were cutting my lawn, one of their guys took a trimmer and tore out a two and a half foot hole and three corner pieces in my siding. They said they would repair it, but they still haven't done so. They did a tremendous job in the landscaping and the lighting, but where it counted in having some longevity in the quality of their service, it didn't happen.

"Plain and simple one here. I traded this guy over two years of lawn care, fertilization, mulching, etc, for a website. Website never got built after two years of "working on it". He owed me money. He asked me to come out and fix patio, normally, no problem, but why when someone owes me over $2,000 why would I go out and do more work for him. All I wanted was what he said he would do. He makes it sound as if we maliciously took a weed eater to his house. His siding was down into the grass and those accidents happen. Ultimately we sent this customer to collections and I had to settle for half of everything that he owed me. Real great deal, and I never got a website. Once again, someone using this Angie's List website to spread lies and to try and hurt my business only because they wouldn't pay. I would be glad to send anyone this person's name and a copy of the collection letter and outcome if they would like to see it to verify my side. Funny thing is, I think this person started a website building business instead of doing it on the side. Maybe I will look for him on here. Be careful of what you read on here people."

Turf Guys are knowledgeable in detecting any problems with the lawn. They correct it with the proper treatment. The cost of service is comparable to most lawn care competitors.
