Chuck was great to work with. He is a true professional. The project finished on time and within the budget. The deck looks great! I received a lot of complements from neighbors. I'm sure some will be contracting wit R&R for their projects. Thanks R&R!

Although I would prefer to just forget our experience with R&R, this review is provided only because of repeated requests from Angie's List to rate R&R Remodeling. I also prefer not to assign specific ratings to R&R for Price, Quality, responsiveness, Punctuality and Professionalism only because I do not know what extenuating circumstances may have caused the way that we were treated on this project, and I am not a judgmental person. I very generously gave them a "C" overall. You can judge for yourselves. Contract was signed for a sun room addition early July 2015. R&R did not obtain permit until October due to incorrect design and failure to expedite the permit process, so construction was delayed from mid Sept until end of Oct. Then R&R could not assure completion by January (when we left town), so rescheduled for June 2016 and instructed R&R to order materials to support new start date. 12 days before scheduled start date began calling R&R - no return calls. 4 days before scheduled start tricked R&R into answering the phone. R&R said they couldn't start because they hadn't ordered materials and superintendent they planned to use had quit. Immediately fired R&R and changed permit to Owner-managed. Obtained services of SK Construction who started 4 days after contract signing - and who provided the most outstanding service possible with respect to Price, Quality, Responsiveness, Punctuality and Professionalism.

I am very happy with the work that R&R Remodeling performed. Their estimate on when the project would start was right on time. The workers started at the same time every day and showed up when they said the would. They went above and beyond with my project. They made an estimation error which caused them to change the project slightly and no extra expense was charged. The price they quoted was the price I paid. Any issues that I found or brought up were fixed to my complete satisfaction. Their finish quality is excellent and I am completely satisfied. They were a pleasure to work with from the beginning of the project to the end. We met them at the St. Charles Home show which is where the process began. They came out and looked at our project and had us come into their showroom to look at the estimate. I would recommend R&R to anyone looking for a deck and cover project. I will definitely look them up again if I ever have another large project like this.

Price was good too. We would use them again. I already recommended them, and my neighbor used them already.

Great service and support. Had a lot of discussion with the HOA regarding railings. Their spec was very loose but after I submitted the proposed railing, they got concerned and added more details to their specifications. Bob was great at helping me work through the multiple emails and discussions to get to approval. Rob, carpenter and Austin, assistant were the construction team with Terry providing the customer service backup. Rob was both personable and super efficient. Asked questions when needed so we stayed on the same page. Quality of work was superior and a couple of field adjustments on rail post height and pier placement to work wiht the existing retaining wall were handled with no additional cost or problem. They were very punctual and did a super job getting the deck up in just 3.5 days. Delivery of materials on Monday, start on Tuesday and done on Friday morning. Really good experience.

R&R Remodeling is hands down the best company you could hire to build your deck, covered patio, or any other remodeling project you're looking to have done. Bob and his team have completed three projects for us, including two decks and a cover. Their work is superior, their level of customer service is unmatched, their designs were exactly what we were looking for, and their craftsmen are trustworthy and the hardest workers I have ever seen. We've enjoyed working with R&R so much that we didn't bother shopping around for our latest deck - we went straight to R&R. Bob, Terry, Jason, and Josh designed and delivered the deck of our dreams. And with the level of quality and craftsmanship that went into the finished projects, the work R&R has done for us will last us for decades to come. Very much looking forward to R&R adding a cover to our new deck in the coming years.

They exceeded my expectations - took about 15 work days!!!

Mike showed up as planned to provide me with an estimate. Their pricing was competitive with the other bids that I had and it sounded like their quality and customer service would be superior so I selected R&R for the work. I had thought that it would be about 7 weeks from signing the contract before the work would be done. Unfortunately, the initial wait was closer to 11 weeks before they were ready to start. Once the job was finally scheduled the work crew showed up as planned. They were only able to stage materials that first day due to bad weather, but after that the job proceeded as planned. It all looks very nice.

The work they did was fantastic. Great carpenters and sales person was very knowledgeable and patient with us asking lots of questions and changing things. We are VERY happy with their work and would recommend them to anyone.

They did an awesome job. Couldn't be happier.

Service was prompt, met with master carpenter who completed job before and after to review specifications. Build took 3 days and while onsite crew was personable and answered any questions. Fantastic company, would hire again.

Absolutely fantastic. I cannot say enough about how great R&R was. From the first meeting, to permitting, to completion of the job, it went incredibly well. Everything was done as promised. On the timeline, as promised. And the work is impeccable. Our deck is gorgeous - it turned out so much better than we ever expected. I was incredibly impressed by R&R from start to finish, and would whole-heartedly recommend them to anyone!

We couldn't be more pleased with our gorgeous deck!! Everything about the process from start to finish with R&R was clear, organized, well communicated, and perfectly executed. To start, our consultation with Kevin was amazing because he took our somewhat vague ideas and turned them into a fantastic unique design by asking tons of questions to understand our individual taste. We had some challenging issues with the odd grading, landscaping and boulders to work around in our backyard, and it required a few design reworks on Kevin's part to accommodate that... yet he did so extremely quickly and even on the weekends to get our final approval of the design. Once construction started it was still winter, so we were fully prepared for it to take awhile. With the exception of a few sub-freezing or very rainy days, our crew was there for work at 7 am on the dot and the progress moved much faster than we expected. Brian and Greg kept us informed about the progress along the way, and they were even on a first name basis with our dogs! But most importantly their workmanship was PHENOMENAL!! Even our municipal inspector commented about how amazing the deck looked in the paperwork. Overall we would strongly recommend R&R! The biggest initial selling point was how well Kevin was able to assess and respond to our needs. All along the way he and everyone we interacted with were incredibly responsive to all of our questions, no matter how dumb they might have been. Now we're just excited we have a gorgeous deck to enjoy this spring and for years to come!!

Our experience with R&R Remodeling in the building of our cedar deck was very good.  Their office was further out than other builders we met with, but we felt the most comfortable with Josh of R&R.  Although their office location was more distant, it had no effect on the build.  Josh listened to what we wanted and to what concerns we had.  He answered most of our questions and what he could not answer he got back to us on in a timely manner.  He ended up making suggestions that we agreed to but at no point did we feel that he was trying to push company profits.  We felt that he was only trying to ensure that we would be happy with our deck.  From there on the build schedule happened just as Josh said it would.  Could not be more pleased with the builders; Brian and Greg.  It was a pleasure to see their experience in building decks and their experience in working with each other.  They worked their process knowingly and methodically.  It was interesting and pleasurable to step out at the end of each day and see the progress.  Wary in this day and age, it did not take long at all to develop a trust in Brian and Greg.  Obviously we could hear them talking in our back yard as they worked.  We got the sense that they enjoyed their work; they enjoyed working together; and they took pride in the quality of their work.  We feel very lucky to have chosen R&R Remodeling.  We are so pleased with them, we would do anything to promote their work.  Really, if you can settle on a design, the material, and a price, you can trust them to take care of everything from there on out and without any compromises.  I mention compromises only because the price we settled on was less than most of the other bids.  I worried and worried that their profit would be made by compromises.  There were no compromises.  In my opinion, our deck could not have been built better.  Angie?s list is a way to let others know and to remove a little of the ?luck? involved with making our choices.  We are happy to recommend R&R Remodeling.
