Askia Ingram came promptly to our appointment and was so professional. He represented Midtown so well. Such an easy decision to use a company with such a decorated list of accomplishments and wonderful products!

The entire process with Midtown was a disaster. Jade the salesman is a high pressure, unprofessional, liar. Nick the General Manager is the one who trained him and it’s clear the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. They don’t self perform any work, and it shows on the price, communication, craftsmanship, and professionalism. Save your time and money and go with a different company!

If you go with them you are wasting your time and money. We are currently battling with the company to get drafty windows addressed, discoloration which looks like mold do to poor installation in the shower and a pergola that clearly has electrical issues. The team is not timely at all responding to issues, we enven have direct lines - service is garbage. With 6" of snow and ice, someone is out to fix the pergola which won't operate below 35 degrees - common sense greatly lacking. In addition it apparently takes 3 weeks to "find a possible person" to help with window insulation and recaulking a small shower. Be ware if you go with them - absolute WORST mistake ever. Installers were also not professional. The installation was no better and I spent more time on the phone trying to get the projects finished correctly and bandaided so team members could get their bonus. Yes they actually told me they wanted me to sign off on my unfinished project so they could meet their targets.

Salesman who came to our home was great, but the job was very expensive. He talked us into taking a loan out for it (fencing job), over $38,000.00. He left, and my husband and I had a change of heart. We are elderly and do not need a lifetime warranty and cannot justify spending that kind of money for a fence. We canceled according to the contract, even though what I have read stated the salesperson was supposed to inform you of the cancel policy, which he did not. We have been given a HARD time about cancelling. They have almost $4,000 of our money. Contract says they are to return it within 10 days. Their office person (Stephanie) says to allow 3-4 weeks and does not care what the contract says, even though the first words out of her mouth was did we sign the back of the contract to cancel! We later had gentleman (Cortez) call us back and tell us we had only begun the cancel process and that a District Mgr had to come out to sign off of our cancel request. No where on the contract does it state this!! The pressure from them is too much. Taking no for an answer seems very difficult for them. We may be forced to take further action.

I’m sharing to hopefully help others in the future. I’m also going to try to make this as short as possible because it’s a lot. I ordered windows in November with a local company and was promised many things that were not provided. One of the windows in my home was badly rotten and had clear water damage. I made sure it was shown to the two men selling the windows that it was really bad. They took pictures and promised me it would all be taken care of at installation and that I had nothing to worry about. I just had to remind them closer to installation. That was what I was told. Well the windows were ordered in the wrong color so that delayed everything and in the mean time I’m emailing and reminding the company that there’s damage by sending pictures etc. I was trying to be diligent. Every person I spoke to through this company I reminded from the secretary to the person who did final measurements. The windows get installed and as you can see it’s a hot mess. The window is caulked to rotten shutters and everything below it is rotten. We were not taken care of. I’ve been trying to work with them and they want to quote me to pay to fix this. They offered to fix the box frame under, but there’s so much more that needs to be addressed. I just wanted a window up to code. When installing they said it was solid and secure so I tried not to worry too much until after they were gone and I started inspecting more. The drywall had holes all over it from the water damage and clearly wasn’t in good condition. Personally I’m learning as I go. When reaching out about this the new general manager made sure to tell me I had gotten such a good deal on these windows and that if it wasn’t written in the contract it doesn’t matter what was said. He also told me that yes the person selling the windows did say he told my husband and I that we would be taken care of we didn’t have to worry. It was a project manager who told us this. It’s the bottom line that they installed the window and then told me I had to take care of everything after I was told not to worry. Sharing this so hopefully another person understands: it’s not about the honor system anymore. Even if they promise you something get it written in the contract. I had even mentioned that they should put that there’s damage in the contract, but was told not to worry it’s taken care of at installation. Please remember this next time you have work done!!

Bad experience. We agreed a scope and design for a deck. The design was paid for, designed, approved and permitted by the City. That was not was built. They agreed it was different but after months of ignoring the issue they said they would fix the issue - then refused. Stay away from this dishonest outfit.

Installation was terrible. When I brought up the issues, they sent back the same unprofessional goofballs to fix it. They addresses only one problem and told me the rest would be fine. The windows never shut correctly, never stayed open and the plastic "safety latches" broke off the second someone opened the window. Windows were fine for several months, but began to fail within 2 years. NEVER made good on their lifetime guarantee. Cold air actually blows through my house now. At one point we could SEE DAYLIGHT through the installation. I have been trying for about 5 years to get this fixed and have spoken with the "new customer service manager" (every time) who promises to fix my issue, but mysteriously evaporates like the last new customer service manager.

Dealing with Midtown has been awful. We signed a contract with them to do siding, windows, gutters, soffit, and fascia and got financing approved in November of 2020. Due to covid supply issues our job was not started until April 2021, which was totally understandable. However, when they arrived to do the siding and gutters, we were informed that one of the colors we chose had been discontinued and that instead of reaching out to us they decided to pick a color for us. Then as they were putting up the siding, one of their employees told us that we needed to go to Home Depot to buy a vent for the side of the house even though that was covered under the contract. Next, while they were removing some of the old wood siding they put their Sawzall all the way through the wall and cut through the drywall on the interior. When they finally finished the job, my wife and I walked around the house and saw numerous spots in the windows and sliding door where the powder coating was already chipped and pealing, so we called and asked them to take care of, so they sent us some touch up paint for us to take care of ourselves. When I talked to them about any sort of compensation for the numerous inconveniences, we were told the best they could do was $150 off of our $56,000 bill. Then, after all of that, we get our first bill and it is $75 more than what we were told by the salesman, who also happened to be their sales manager. Turns out that the 6 months with 0% financing begins as soon as you are approved and because the job took 5 months to complete and no payments were made, the balance was readjusted making the payment higher. When I talked to the sales manager, he said he had no clue about any intro period. So either he doesn't know how is financing works or he chose to leave it out to make a sale. Neither of which bode well for a salesman. Now, after just under a year and a half since having it completed, some of the fascia is coming off and the caulk around the windows already needs to be replaced. I called them to come fix the fascia, as it is at the highest peak above the garage, and im told it will be over a month until they can come out to fix it. So long story short, we paid way to much money for something that I am now having to fix myself less than a year and a half in. Never again will they get a penny of my money.

Sept 25,2020, MidTown Home Improvement knock on the door of our house I hired for demolish and build a composite deck 120 sf supposedly to get ready new deck by Nov 2020 total project $22,200.00. We didn't listen nothing about project schedule for 8 months. May 10, 2021 our patience is exhausted we knew are dealing with dishonest and unprofessional company once I called Mid Town Home Improvement to cancel the project and asked return our down payment $ 2,200 appear in scene Jarod Blade General Manager being extremely disrespectful and rude by phone then asked him respect and any communication do it by e-mail this man was extremely sarcastic showing how cynical and liar Jarod Blade wrote he has 25 years experience no judge or arbitrator would agree to the canceling for a few days to a week delay also he asked us additional $ 4,400 to break agreement legally in addition to our down payment $ 2,200 trying to steal more money. He was available start project ASAP to try and make lemonade out of this lemon for us then we were willing to take off $ 500 off our balance of $ 20,000 considering our project it is a one week delay is being very generous with us understanding our frustration. Jarod Blade showed his dishonesty and immaturity. He didn’t know that I have the information of Building Permit City they completed 4/26/2021 (7 months late) The above proves the falsehood and intention to steal our money July 12, 2021 ( 10 months late) in the 16th Judicial circuit Jackson County Mo at 9:30 a.m none appeared the small claim hearing because criminals are afraid and cowards of judges Patrick Melson President Jarod Blade General Manager We won the case but started a garnishment process without results, Patrick Melson with complicity of bank of Old Monroe located in Old Monroe, Mo 63369 changed account bank. Midtown Home Improvement isn’t a legal company they denied to show us Business License, Work Compensation as neither insurances. Midtown Home Improvement by e-mail clearly say will not be held responsible for any damages any nail pops from install on your home inside or outside of your home it is the reason why didn’t show proofs of insurances. We hired Midtown Home Improvement Sept 25, 2020 to build a composite deck unfortunately has been a terrible experience wasting 31 months trying get our money then the problem will be worst following with more legal problems Beware of this scam company run by criminals who are experts in stealing money from customers once get down payment they don’t do the job and they know how evade and circumvent the justice. The composite deck has been built for deckinteriors for $ 15,500.00 less money and extremely professional.

I entered into a contract with Midtown improvements. The contract was signed and I paid 10% advance. The contract had a completion date listed and both parties agreed to the completion date. After 45 days. General Manager comes back saying that Midtown can't meet the completion date and contract needs to be amended. It appears Midtown doesnt want to give any completion date and customers are at the mercy of Midtown. Very disappointed!

Part of the fence on one side looks good. But the other side is just horrible. Paid over $6000 for a mediocre job. They didn’t even clean the mess that they made. I have dirt and cement in my yard still. One one side of the fence they couldn’t even properly install it and is coming apart. They salesman talks a good game to get you to buy. They explain that it’s a lifetime warranty but after you received the paperwork it tells you it’s a limited warranty. We used a credit card to purchase the service and it was never explained that there was an additional charge. I strongly recommend that this company not be used for anything. Heck they can’t even keep an appointment time and constantly change it.

My mom cried today when I showed her the gap where the sink's separating from the counter in her "dream" kitchen. My folks took out a second mortgage for this remodel, and the first repair was about a year in; we've had a cabinet pull away from the wall, multiple plumbing issues that cause extra problems because no subfloor was installed under the sink. My parents have to get down below foot level to reach their sponges, etc., that lie jumbled in an unfinished hole. There have been more problems that I can keep track of, and phone calls often go unreturned. I feel like these people fleeced my hard working folks and don't recommend them under any circumstances.

Midtown did an excellent job on the deck. The salesman and project manager were friendly and helpful, developing a plan that met our needs. The deck construction crew were professional, highly skilled, and helpful, explaining each step along the way. All work conformed to code, as inspected by the city. The work site was kept clean after each work session and after the work was completed. It took about four days for the deck to be built. Midtown's efforts resulted in a very solid, beautiful deck.

I felt like the initial meeting placed a lot of pressure to make a decision right then to be able to afford the work. We then didn't hear anything from the company on a start date timeline despite 2 email requests we sent. Once they contacted us they wanted to come the very next day and start work. The crew who did the work was great and it looks amazing. I just felt the customer service on the front side after you sign and expensive contract was very lacking

Terrible.... a one month project has turned into 5 months. We spent so much money and most of the work was completed. But it is not done, as a home owner I don’t expect to have to paint/patch my new kitchen which is the condition it is in. I have to reach out multiple times to whoever it is overseeing the work twice. To get this project done. The final walk though is Tuesday, and of course someone wants to come That morning to fix it before the walk though. We have been paying for a unfinished kitchen for three months.

The crew were here five minutes early, which I liked that very much. The crew have a very good system they follow to get the job done right and in a timely manner. It took all day to do the job (12 hours), but well worth it! The crew cleaned up as they worked, and were very well prepared with all they needed to put my new roof on. I would recommend Midtown Home Improvements highly!

We purchased a 6foot white vinyl privacy fence from Midtown Home Improvements. The entire process was smooth and worry free. They were always in communication with us, updating us with every step of the process. Once we signed on the dotted line, they took it from there, for example, they pulled the permits for the job. Their crew was professional, respectful and clean, always picking up their work area. Due to weather, it took 1.5 days to finish the project. We were impressed with the speed of the project and how well it was done. The fence looks beautiful! It provides us with the privacy we have been longing for and the look we imagined. We highly recommend using Midtown Home Improvement for any project you have in mind.
