It was on time and on budget, and the staff could not have been more professional and respectful. We were very impressed and would recommend them wholeheartedly.

It went excellent from selecting my flooring to delivery. Everything was as promised. They were efficient and left the areas very clean. It is rare in this day to find a company who actually does what they say and shows up when they say. Once burned I never return. I was extremely pleased with Jacobs Floors Carolyn

They were amazing! From the estimate to clean up these gentlemen were top notch. Very polite and courteous. They helped me choose the best flooring for my needs. I would trust them for my future flooring needs.

Easy to work with up front and throughout the project through check collection. Post project however, was another story. We had two issues come up: 1) we found that the floor scratched a whole lot easier than anticipated, 2) when we replaced a door we found that replacement boards were placed over some rotted wood. Jacobs Flooring had told us that the floor was wet, but that it would be fine to install the new wood over once it dried out. So, they worked with us to dry out the floor and wait for a non-rani week to install finish the floors. When I contacted him with the question about the scratches, I found him to be a bit defensive. We had waited longer than he told us to to walk on it and to place items on it. So, we thought we were doing what we were told to do. I have had wood floors in my last home and in an 1873 built Victorian in Kentucky (with original hardwood floors) and had no issues with having any scratches. I tried to work with him to find a pen (like for detailing cars) or something that we could use to fix the scratches. Not great a great resolve, but it would fix the problem and I could live with it. So, then I came across the second issue and asked why we weren't advised to have the subfloor replaced over the damaged area. At that point, Jim became very defensive. He completely turned the conversation around and asked why he was being blamed for everything we did. My question was: if not having the doors replaced before he did the flooring was going to be an issue, why weren't we educated about that so we would understand that to have the kind of job he wanted to do that we would be happy with--we needed to wait? In my opinion, he pressed us to move forward with the job and told us we were good to go as long as it was dry. He doesn't want to hear about anything other than happy customers and wasn't willing to do anything but blame us for everything. So, we're contacting a national chain to fix the issue--a company who understands customer service and doesn't use the cheapest products and walking away from this disaster. We tried to support a local business and, in this case, it didn't work well for us.

Jim Jacobs knows flooring. It's his life, and he is passionate about it. He knows the pros and cons of each kind of flooring, each brand of flooring, and each style. He is straightforward and full of factual information. No hard sell. We chose a light maple laminate floor. He measured the room as we debated our options. It was approximately 1000 sq ft of flooring, including two closets and a railing issue around some stairs.
He thought through the details of the installation of the floor that we chose, asking us for our preferences for how to handle each bit.
The floor was finished in one day, the floor looked great, the transitions were well done, the place was left clean. I was confident that he would do a good job; there was nothing in the execution to discourage that.
I recommend Jacobs Flooring.

Jim Jacobs was very helpful in advising us r.e. our wood floors [in a 90yr old house] and then supplying the carpet that we are very happy with at a reasonable price. The installers were on time, very courteous and professional, cleaned up after themselves and did a great job of installing the new carpet. I will definitely have him come back to install move carpet when we finish the renovation in other parts of the house.

We bought and 85 yr old house and due to pet allergies, had to have all of the carpets removed before we could move in. Our closing date was changed several times. Jim Jacobs was very accommodating and worked with us in scheduling his workers to get the job done. They showed up on time, were very professional, but also friendly. They got the job done quickly and thoroughly. They were careful not to damage the wood under the pads, cleaned up after themselves, and hauled everything away. We will definitely call them back to refinish all of the floors when we get to that point.

This part of the project was completed in one day. The new floor is beautiful and functional. It looks like ceramic but was less costly and easier on the feet, an important consideration as my wife and I are seniors with the usual aches and pains.
