+ -1 moreFirst, my real estate listing agent (who also served as the buyer's agent) did not require a preapproval letter from this mortgage company prior to presenting me the buyers contract. Second, a loan commitment date was stated in the buyer's contract and this lender did not meet that date - they were four days late. My listing agent made excuses for them, (he did not take responsibility either). I do not know the true details about why the date was not met. But if I were a purchaser and awaiting loan approval, I would get nervous about a missed loan commitment date,
