We also had them out to fix our air conditioner and he was very prompt and very thorough.
It took multiple phone calls to get initial contact with Pat's. He was late for the first appointment, but he did call to let me know he was running behind. Scheduled a second appointment to repair the problem after parts were ordered. Arrived on time and completed the repair with no issues.
For the dryer - they came the same day that they were called (on a Saturday!). He determined that the timer was not working. He said he would check to see if they had one in stock and, if not, would order one. He estimated that they should be able to install a new timer within 2-3 days. They were true to their word and came back on Tuesday and put in the new timer. Again, very professional, courteous, and thorough.
We were forced to use Pat?s appliances through our Homeowners warranty. They came to our home to look at a stove. From the onset they were rude and short with us. They indicated they thought they knew what the problem was said they needed a part and left. Days go by, weeks go by with no contact. After about two weeks we left messages with them but still did not get a call back. The entire time our stove was inoperable. Before they came it worked it just took a long time to heat up. Now we could not use it at all. We could not get any response back so we called our Home Warranty Company to complain. Finally after this we got a call back. They said they were waiting on a part. That seemed to excuse them not calling us for over weeks or returning any of our numerous calls to see what the status was. Finally they came out to fix our stove.. giving us a five minuet heads up of their arrival?on a Saturday morning. We had to stop our plans and wait for them. They showed up and sat outside making phone calls for 10 minutes. Finally I asked if they would mind coming in and fixing our stove so we could get on with our day. They came in and put in a part and left without saying a word. Stupidly I assumed the oven was finally fixed. Nope. We found out the next day it was still broke. They did not even have the decency to turn on the oven to see if it was fixed before they left. We called them to complain and they said to call our warranty company and hung up on us. Obviously we are a bit unsatisfied.
The dishwasher was the same kind of story. The owner poked around a bit, cleaned out a filter or something, told us to run the dishwasher three or four times, and that was it. We did so, and nothing changed. So, we called them back, he looked at it again, said it was probably a broken valve. He ordered the part, brought it in (after having several messages left for him to call us back and one missed appointment), but again nothing changed. He then told us that it was a plumbing problem. We had another company come in for the plumbing, but it was lucky that they also did appliance repair. They took one look at it and said it was a problem with the pump.
In both cases, they misdiagnosed the problem meaning we needed to bring in someone else to correct the actual problem.
