We purchased an older home and had issues with outlets. Chad came out replaced and rewired a couple. Also worked on a blower we needed repaired to blow heat from our fireplace into the entire home. Wow did we have issues with that thing! Chad stayed with us and was able to help us get the motor replaced, capacitor replaced and now we will have heat from our fireplace heating most of our home. We were impressed with the responsiveness and willingness to stick with us til the end of this long drawn out process. It has taken 9 months from the time of purchase til Sept to get it all figured out. We will use Shippy for all our electrical needs in the future!

They were on time and handled everything just as they said they would. Personable and thorough.
I appreciated also that they moved the old microwave into the basement.

The job went very well, my contractor was on time and very polite. It took slightly longer than what was expected but that was due to some wiring that had to be re done due to it being an older home. The contractor informed me throughout the process if there were any issues and what my desision would be on those issues before doing anything first which I really liked. They were even able to assit me with a minor electrical issue I was having without charging extra. Overall the recessed lighting looks great and is a great addition to my home theater room.

Chad Shippy came to my house within a day after I called to look at the three projects I asked him to bid. It took him two weeks to get back to me with the bid via e-mail. He apologized for being slow in responding, but I was not in a big hurry and was not put out by that. Although it didn't bother, me I'm giving a B in responsiveness because of that two-week response. According to the grading rubric that's still "good," which fits my experience.
Based on his bids and a strong recommendation by a neighbor, I hired him to move the electric panel. I e-mailed on a Friday, and he scheduled the project for the following Wednesday morning. Two men arrived right on time Wednesday morning, and began the work. The two worked through the morning, and then one remained to finish the job in the afternoon. About noon, I remembered that I'd forgotten to include attaching a two duplex receptacles to the panel. I asked the electrician, and he said that'd be fine. I provided the material, and he installed the receptacles. I thought that might increase the cost, but when the job was complete, he gave me an invoice for exactly the amount bid.
I'm very happy with Shippy electric and have already told them I'll hire them for the second job (wiring my basement) when it's time. I'm postponing the third job for now because of the cost.

Chad Shippy does my electric work and he is very good at getting over here quickly. His prices are very reasonable, and I will always continue to use Chad in the future.
