The project started before the first one was finished so we had no idea the quality of work was going to drop off to nothing. They had informed us their specialty was roofing and assured us they would not drop the ball on this project. They ordered all the materials, measured the trusses, convinced us to add on other work to the project and continued to ad to the bill. The owner would write up contracts for each segment and slip in double billings of items already billed for on the initial project contract. By the time it was figured out what had happened they were overpaid for the amount due for the entire project and they were no where near done. Needless to say he packed up his guys and left the jobsite and has not returned. He claims now that we are trying to rip him off, stating he doesnt owe us as much as we claim. To make things worse the 5,000.00 worth of roofing materials they ordered have been delivered and sitting here in the yard for three weeks. They tarped up the decking weeks ago which was supposed to be only for a few days until the roofing itself arrived and now all that material is tearing off the roof. The phone calls go ignored, he returns one out of ten calls maybe. I recorded our last conversation and he admitted to being overpaid, he claimed he was going to get the roof completed and the house dried in for winter. They had ordered wrap for the house, and there were so many things he said they were going to do that never got done. He has taken the money and now is not going to do the job. His wife called the sherrifs office and lied that we were harrassing them, incredible, we had already hired an attorney that morning. He is a convicted felon and I suggest that all angies listers research the owners on casenet, a free MO government website, to do your own criminal background. Dont find out after the fact like we did.
Description of Work: They contracted a roof replacement job from the toplate, up. They measured for trusses, ordered all the materials for the build and roofing. They also contracted for the cleanup and tearout of the old materials, contracted for a wall lift and repair, contracted for rebuilding all interior walls on the upstairs, and contracted for tearout of wet wall material in the lower level in family room and dining room. They completed the tearout work, lifted the wall and rebuild, rebuilt most of the upstairs walls but still missed the main support wall. They did about 1/3 of the wet wall materials in the lower level. We noticed early on that the roof trusses were not lining up and off, their response to our inquiry was rage and that we were too difficult to work with. After convincing the owner to come look and see for himself before getting all worked up he too agreed it was not right. The work became horrible from that point on., they left the entire house unconvered and sit through several rains, and there were several days of no show, no calls, nothing. There were several days they were supposed to for sure show up, we would be there and wait all day with nobody to show.

They started out with a band and ended in a bust. They protected carpets and were careful the first few days and then it went downhill. Made a huge mess traveling through the house, shoddy work at best. They dont have the expertise to do the work but will say they can do it to get the job. Learning as they go so the work is not what you expect, its like you did it yourself, actually I have seen better work out of do-it-yourselfers. If you are looking for quality professional work then these guys are not IT, if your just looking to get something done in the time they say it will be done, well it will be close but not exact. The owner is like cybil, learn to deal with the many faces.
