My Three Sons Tree Trimming

They are insured and are a family business. They have done very well for us and I have been very pleased with my experiences.

I hired a company to cut down and remove a tree that had been blown down in a storm.  Owner came out, gave estimate, I accepted, paid him and got a reciept.  They did not f inish the job that night, even though woner stated he would.  He stated he would return the following day.  No show, I called several times and got several promises by the owner that they would come finish the job.  Finally Sunday night, about 8:30pm, two boys and an old man showed up.  I was in my pajamas, they did not call to say they were coming.  They said they would finish cutting down the tree and stack the fire wood by the gate and remove the debris pile.They tried to use gasoline to burn the debris pile.  It was 105 degrees and the gasoline exploded, burning one of the boys.  The other two workers said he only needed to be washed off but I felt he needed to go to the hospital.  I suggested they call 911 or take him to the ER.  They refused and he asked me to take him to the ER.  The others said they would remain behind and finish the job.  I took him to the ER, calling  the owner and the boys mother.  Later I found out that the owner had gotten to the hospital before me and was sitting in the parking lot watching me take the boy into the ER.  He was on the phone talking to his lawyer.  He came into the hospital about 30 minutes later and after that the other boys came to the ER.  They said they had gone to get something to eat before coming to the hospital.  I went home and found out that they had not cut the tree down, had stolen my firewood and had left the debris pile burning.  I had to call the fire department to drive out into my pasture to put it out.  They said I was lucky it hadn't caught my pasture on fire and burned down my house.  After that they would not return any of my calls and when I ran into the owner at a store, he refused to speak to me and practically ran out of the store.  The tree still remains and the debris pile now is home to several rabbits.  And he never cut down the tree branches over the electic lines.
