Excellent work & customer service! We had a railing installed on outdoor paver brick stairs. Difficult to do without cracking the pavers but they did a great job, took their time and got everything right.

From start to finish, service was great! The initial consult went incredibly well, Dennis was very well informed and knowledgable about all of the fencing options. Due to unforeseen circumstances, we had to delay the project almost a year and they were very understanding and flexible with the timeline. Once we were ready to continue, service was prompt and the install went very smooth. The installers were very efficient and courteous. Overall, amazing service and product, I would definitely use them again!

We visited Chesterfield Fence and Deck over a weekend after researching various fencing companies. We met Bill Johnson and arranged for an estimate the following week. Mr. Johnson came on time and was very helpful with my concerns for about the gaps between the slats. Once we signed the contact, approximately 2-3 weeks later, our fence was installed. The workers  arrived at nine and were finished by one.  They were polite, quick and very professional. I would recommend this company.

I met with 4 fence companies. Their prices were within $100 of each other, although one was quoting treated pine pickets instead of cedar. That little comment is important..if you want cedar pickets, make sure you contract for CEDAR, and not "wood", or you may be in for a non-refundable surprise. I didn't realize that particular company was quoting treated pine pickets until I was about to sign and fortunately questioned the quote for a "4' Tall Picket Fence". I asked if they were cedar pickets, and that is when I found out they were treated pine, which is not what I wanted. Fence POSTS are typically treated pine, so that's ok. Always read your quote/contract very carefully so you are getting exactly what you want. I disqualified another company because when I was setting up the initial meeting/quote, I was asked if my husband would be there. Um, HELLO....first of all, I don't have a husband, and even if I did, I am perfectly capable of ordering a fence. I am pretty certain that if a man called that company, they would not ask if their WIFE would be there. I was stunned and amused that any company doing business after 1970 would ask that question. On to the fence company I went with: I chose Kirkwood fence because the salesman did the best job of LISTENING to me and wrote a few special requests on the quote to ensure I got what I wanted. He might have been secretly rolling his eyes at one of my requests, (gravel at the bottom of the post holes, because almost all fence companies say it's not necessary and don't do it), but he didn't try to tell me that I was wrong, and said OK. Yeah..... I wasn't there when they installed the fence, so I have no idea if they actually did it, but I give the guy points for just being a good salesman, and hope they had the integrity to do it :) I had to wait several weeks for the install because they were backed up, but I was told this upfront. The fence was installed in 2 days, and they did a great job. My yard is not perfectly level, and they did a wonderful job following the contour with the pickets so the tops were lined up in a nice slight curve. The gates included a nicer latch, forgot what he called it, but it doesn't end up getting misaligned over the years. The two things I was disappointed in: 1. The dirt they dug out to set the fence posts was put in the yard. It was spread out, not a big pile, but I wish they would have asked where I wanted them to put it. I don't mind that they didn't haul it away, but had I known they wouldn't, I would have specified a place for them to put it. 2. They had to cut half of an evergreen bush out, which I was aware of and had no problem with. They cut it pretty close to the ground, but there was still a few inches of stump, so one of the boards was just cut short to fit over it. I think they should have cut the stump level with the ground, or called me to let me know it would not be flush. They could have done this on post setting day, giving me an opportunity to get the stump out or grind it shorter if they weren't going to do it. I called them and asked for an extra regular length picket so I could fix this. They dropped off two pickets the same day, so good points for that. During my follow up call, I mentioned these two minor issues so they could keep them in mind for future customers. Overall, they did an excellent job and I would definitely use them again.

The guys did a tremendous job on our fence. I think the problem is with the customer service and if we can't get a bid, we might have to use someone else. I am really not to sure as if I would hire them again or not.

The work and measuring was very good. Th man who installed the fence, Joe, did a very good job. This company cost was about $200.00 less than other bids.
