We contacted Tamsin Design Group after a disappointing first experience with a decorator. This first decorator had missed several appointments, didn't return calls, and was so difficult to get ahold of that we finally just gave up. Tamsin Design Group provided a whole different experience right from the start. Tamsin and Jackie came over and looked at our new home, asked lots of questions about our style and our preferences, and started immediately brainstorming ideas. We didn't have a huge budget, but one thing I like so much about them it that it didn't matter. They treated us as if we did. We knew that we wanted to buy a few pieces of furniture but were unsure about style, size, and scale. Tamsin and Jackie helped us choose gorgeous pieces that we could afford. We were also able to take advantage of their firm's discount at more than one vendor.
Jackie was there to help me choose window coverings when blinds company came. We ended up with some beautiful woven Roman shades that I never would have thought to choose on my own. Tamsin and Jackie also came with me to choose carpet for our stair runners, and went with me to shop for accessories once the furniture was in and we knew what we needed (or they knew, rather!) to finish out the rooms. I texted them both numerous pictures of things that I found myself to get their opinion. They always responded right away to calls, texts, and emails- and never missed an appointment!
Both Tamsin and Jackie are very easy to work with, friendly, and knowledgeable. I like them both a lot, which made this process fun instead of a chore. Like I mentioned, our budget was not big. But when we have a larger budget, there is no question who I am going to call! If you are thinking about having someone help you decorate a new home, re-vitalize a tired room, or just want to bounce ideas of someone who knows what they're doing, you can't go wrong giving Tamsin Design Group a call. I'm so glad that I did- I truly love the way my home looks and feels- it makes me happy when I walk in. :)
