We hired him back in May to get this done and he asked for half of the cost up front. We paid him the $2750.00 before he started and he was able to dig the hole and start work on the inside but he only got about a third of the job done before disappearing one day. He only put 15 hours of work into the actual job. We did have rain and weather delays during the project but he seemed to vanish completely. When we contacted him after multiple tries to find out when he would be back to finish, he told us he was in another state and when he got back he would decide when he wanted to do it and promptly hung up on us. We have since hired a new company to take over and due to his negligence and untimely manner they had to re-dig the hole and start the process over again. We heard from them and some other contractors in the area that while John is local he works nationally and has a habit of abandoning jobs in our local area. We do not recommend hiring him, he will disappear with your money. We simply wanted a pool for summer and not this hassle. We have talked to John about a partial refund due to us having to go over budget with the new company because they needed additional supplies to rectify his work and while he agreed to that we have not seen any of that money and don't expect to.
