Duff Painting was amazing. They showed up on time with 3 guys. They stuck to their timeline. They were efficient and methodical. Mike Duff, the owner, was even helpful in guiding me to the right paint color. There is not even a hint of the door that they removed between two bedrooms. The repair is invisible! They were careful to lay drop cloths and cleaned up at the end of every day. They stuck to their estimate and the timeline. I couldn't be happier.

Mike and his associate were great. The exterior painting job was more or less straight forward. The indoor painting required real expertise. We had walls with water damage, puffy moisture ridden plaster, cracking oil painted rooms, wood molding that was buckled. Mike was unfazed in facing the challenges of working on our 1926 house. It has layers of paint on all the walls. It had lines in the plaster from shifting. He and his associate plastered, sanded, filled in holes, matched new paint color to old -- and applied a variety of techniques and expertise to all the demands of working with an old house. They cleaned up beautifully each day -- vacuumed, swept, and folded up their drop cloths each note. We felt comfortable with leaving Mike & co. in our home while we worked in the day. Each room in our house was touched up or fully painted and it all looks beautiful.

Mike refinished our kitchen cabinets and they look even better than we expected. Mike was great to work with. He was very professional and addressed every concern we had. He showed up on time each day and worked efficiently to get the job done quickly. The quality of the work was excellent and the finish looks great! We are very happy with the new look of our kitchen and would definitely recommend Duff Painting to our friends and family.

Duff painting did a great job. Painted exterior of our house this summer. Was a big complicated job on a large 100 year old house - repairing and glazing windows, scraping and painting wood windows, fixing and painting aluminum siding, scraping and painting metal structures, a large ornate porch and awning structure. They really revived our house and made it look great. Their team was very professional and efficient. Came back twice to do touch ups. They also did some interior rooms for us - did a great job. They can do it all. Highly recommend.

Mike is in high demand, and I can see why. We had him come to our house to provide an estimate for repairing water damage and he was able to provide us with guidance about where the damage was coming from and how to get it fixed before he did his repairs. He worked quickly and efficiently, with minimal mess. He got the paints matched with no problem and the finished wall is good as new.

I hired Duff Painting Co after hearing great things about them from some folks in my neighborhood who had hired them in the past. I have had some major renovation work going on at my place for months now. When I hired Duff Painting, I was about done dealing with contractors. Mike Duffy, the owner was fantastic to work with. Right from providing the bid to finishing the job, everything was done in a timely and immaculate way. When I was looking into hiring them, there was a scheduling issue. But Mike accommodated my request. Mike and his crew were very pleasant to deal with. The day his crew was working I was busy running errands outside. I didn't have to keep an eye on them. Not sure you can get away with that while working with most contractors. I would hire Duff Painting for future work.

The job went very well. It started a little later than anticipated due to a previous job, but Mike kept me informed and once the job started their work day began early, and they put in full days of work for the four days it took to complete the room. The plaster walls were an absolute mess with cracks and holes after the wallpaper was removed and after a couple of skim coats, they are very smooth . You’d never know they were 110 years old. Mike is knowledgeable and professional but is also a very personable and likable guy, something I find very important if someone is going to be working in your home.

The quality of the work is excellent. They scraped and primed wherever needed, and the end result is neat and sharp.

We hired Duff Painting Co to paint our living room, dining room, playroom, hallway, staircase, office, and master bedroom walls. Mike and Todd were very professional, arrived when they said they would, and took on the task of patching aging plaster walls before any painting could be done. The result is remarkable. We had one wall with old water damage, that now looks like new. They also had to pull down some 200 lbs of plaster in the hallway, which turned out to be dangerously bowing away from the lath upon close inspection. Everything was repaired -- you would never know that such extensive work was done! Additionally, Mike provided paint options that helped us make choices on wall colors that are timeless, work well with our existing decor, and have the look and feel we were going for. They left the place clean, and completed the job in less time than expected. I would definitely use Duff Painting Co again!

I wasn't happy with the paint job on our basement stairwell after construction work so I contacted Mike to repaint it. I'm very happy with the way it looks now. The crack repairs he did in other parts of the house look good too. I will definitely call him when I need more work done.

Mike was very easy to work with in terms of scheduling and on the job. Beautiful work and not a drop of paint on our newly refinished floors. I was concerned when prior trim color was bleeding through final coat, and was not looking forward to conflict/negotiations. When I pointed out bleed through to Mike he immediately agreed and applied another coat. No conflict and he stood by his estimate. Clean and professional. Highly recommend.

Surpassed my expectations! Not only did Mike do a great job, but he is friendly and detail oriented. In addition, he noticed our wood banisters which are 80 years old could be “brought back to life”. And wow they are!!! I give Duff Painting my highest recommendation.

The upstairs shower leaked onto the ceiling and wall below and before he repaired the damage, Mike was called to open up the ceiling so a plumber could diagnose the leak. Mike not only opened the ceiling, but he managed to figure out the area that was leaking and he also repaired that! Turns out it was a matter of a bad caulk job on the shower enclosure. Saved me the cost of a plumber and he repaired the ceiling, the water damage in the bathroom and the ceiling and wall below. Mike has done work for me over many years on this property. As the homeowner, I trust him in my home when I’m not there and as a landlord, he has also helped me with this property and worked with my tenants and my property manager. He is a true, skilled professional who is easy to communicate with, responsive and does beautiful work. Glad to have him on my list of home repair people.
