Work started in Sep. 2011 and was mostly completed by end of Dec. 2011 except for remediation of issues by homeowner which is ongoing in discovery and repair. Contractor did not switch city permits to his name which caused issues at final inspection. Not all items in contract were completed. Homeowner did not receive all lein waivers. Contractor used money from this project for other uses and ran out of money for this project. To be fair, he did go to work elsewhere to raise money and mostly finished this job. He was not on the job to supervise and in consequence the quality of work was variable. Issues of poor quality are a continuing leaky basement under new addition, very little insulation put in attic of addition, leaking roof on addition, wall repairs and filling, primer painting, and shoddy tiling of bathroom floor. Another big issue is poor performance of geothermal system which is due to both him and the former contractor along with the subcontractor. Because of payment issues there seems to be no warranty available on the labor performed on the geothermal lines. Good aspects of performance were the interior millwork, finishing of original floors and installion of new wood flooring, bathroom wall tiling and installation of bathroom and kitchen fixtures. Summary: This contractor had good intentions but does not have the experience, knowledge and business accumen to be a general contractor.
