KOSTAL PAINTING

Three months into my paint job paint starting peeling in different locations around my house. Immediately I tried contacting Joe/Travis via text &, VM however no response. Pictures were taken where the paint was peeling and I mailed the pictures along with a letter to Joe. Still no response. In addition, I visited Spectrum Paint(who recommended Joe) where the Benjamin Moore Ultra Spec (25 year warranty) was purchased. Representatives from the store came out to my house to verify there was no defect in their product. Their conclusion-no issues with the paint. In conclusion, it leads me to believe the job was done improperly. Joe refuses to have any type of correspondence with me. I paid Joe, a substantial amount with confidence that he would do a great job. He was recommended by many people. I always take great pride in my home and am very let down with the attitude and lack of customer service given by Joe Kostal . I live in a very large and modest sub-division and would have happily shared his name and company with many neighbors. After this, it would only be negative reviews to my neighbors. As the paint is already peeling and if I do not hire another contractor to resolve these issues, I will have to again hire an entire crew to completely paint my house again in the near future. I should b loving my newly painted house, however I'm not there yet. The fact that I waited two years for Joe to paint my house, I'm extremely disappointed, that he is not willing to correct his mistakes. Not to mention that I paid him 12,000.00 to paint my house. There were additional costs added to the job which I was not happy about, however I did the right thing and paid him. It appears to b a one way street.

First, his bid was the most complete of any I received--detailed, but understandable. That way, there could be no surprises when the job got underway. Kostal painting did an excellent job overall. His attention to detail and obvious pride in his workmanship are evident. He thoroughly washed down the house using a mildewcide and did an excellent job of caulking and other preparation. The house is 16 years old and had never been caulked so completely in the two previous times it was painted. Joe uses premium materials. I highly recommend Kostal Painting for anyone north of the river in the Kansas City area.
