Phil was extremely friendly,knowledgeable and helpful!You could tell he enjoyed what he was doing.
Went in for a gas burning fire-log set and came out feeling more connected to the world!
They are in old town Troy inside a vintage building.He was happy to give me a tour.They have a marvelous showroom.
There is also the old hardware store across the street where I purchased a Kozy World wall mounted furnace.
They also have installers their as well.Extremely Satisfied!

The person contacted helped me to identify the information I needed and delivered to me the manual that answered my questions. As it turns out, I do not need repairs at this time, but these are the people I will go to when the time comes.

I knew next to nothing about high efficiency fireplaces when I started the process, and Phil was great about answering my questions. The installation was done by a 3rd party recommended by Phil and it went smoothly. Phil handled the cracked fireplace window without any problems. I highly recommend Hechler's,

Phil Hecher was very helpful in explaining the differences in the stoves, and spent as much time as we needed. We decided on a stove that was not in stock. They notified us when it came in, we picked it up. This wood stove was very heavy (cast iron) and was crated so we didnt look at it before we got it home. When we got it home we realized that there was a large enamale chip off a leg and one of the handles was slightly bent. We called Phil and he ordered the parts, and picked them up when they arrived. Due to our delay in remodeling, it was a little time before we installed the new parts and we discovered upon installing one part we had thought was bent was actually a different part. I stopped in at the store to show them exactly which part it was, and explained that I wasnt sure how we go about replacing it. Dan took apart their stove to show me how easy it would be, and offered to either give me the part off their new stove or order it for us. They have been very helpful, friendly. I expected an argument about the part but they gave us no trouble at all and gave us immediate response. I have now sent a few other people there. We had a great experience. The stove heats great and is beautiful.
