 + -1 moreI hurt my back, so I was unable to clean for a couple of weeks. The person they sent was wonderful. She was very prompt and professional. I cannot believe she scrubbed my floors on her hands and knees. The floors have never looked so good. I also have a glass shower door - I have no idea how she got it so clean. I wish I could afford to have them come every week.

 + -1 moreI can't say enough nice things about them. They're wonderful. They're flexible with scheduling. Beverly, who does the scheduling is great. She always gets me in and remembers that I like my house done before Thanksgiving -- so she gets me scheduled. They have a crew of 3 people that come in. It doesn't matter how long they stay, it's still the same price which I like.

 + -1 moreCost of $199 was for the first cleaning only. Rate has gone down since I have gone to bi-weekly. Tried Cottage care after getting rid of my "other" cleaning service whose quality had gone down the drain. Cottage care did an amazing job. My home looked great. Gave punctuality a B only because they had car trouble and were late, however the manager called and advised me. Will continue to use their services! Very satisfied with the job they did.

 + -1 moreI recommend Cottage Care for housekeeping. I will use them again on Monday. They're very reasonable. They come in teams of either two or three and when they come, they're in and out. I have been using them for about 4 years and mu house is beautiful. They're fast and thorough. They bring their own supplies and usually the same team comes, they're familiar with the house so it doesn't take too much time to clean.
Description of Work: They did an hour and a half of housecleaning. They cleaned the house from top to bottom. They swept, dusted, mop floors and cleaned microwave, oven refrigerator; everything. The scrubbed floors, Windex everything, wiped out window sills; everything pertaining to housekeeping. They did toilets.

 + -1 moreThey did not do baseboards nor did they do toilets or the bath tub. marks on the walls were not addressed. Vacuuming was inferior by far! The stainless steel appliances were not touched. The house was not in much better shape when they were finished as when they arrived. It didn't sparkle or smell clean. So disappointed!!!

Due to the extensiveness of the cleaning required, a few minor things were overlooked, but this was not of concern to me. Overall, they did an excellent job and were very pleasant and professional to work with. I would definitely recommend them and use their services again.

 + -1 moreThe crew (2 people) was prompt and professional. They got to work right away and brought their own supplies. I'm not sure how long they stayed since I had to return to work after letting them in. They did a very basic job but little details were missed, such as lampshades, sink drains, baseboards, etc. I might use them again but will probably try someone else.

 + -1 moreThey're friendly, I do a lot of stuff before they come, I prepare for them so it would make it a little bit easier for them. They'll do anything, if I add anything or if I said you do this or you missed this or anything and there's no problem about them taking care of anything like that and they do it. They're just thorough the first time.
Description of Work: I use Cottage Care and they come every other Monday. They do all the bathrooms, the floors, the hard floors which are quite kitchen, hallway, bathroom. They do all the vacuuming and dusting in about 3 rooms, it's the living room, the master bedroom and half the kitchen, the eating area.

 + -1 moreCottage Care did a fine job cleaning, but I wasn't thrilled with their price. It's possible I may have been spoiled with a lower rate in the city we moved from last year; I used to pay just $75 for a larger house in Las Vegas. When I called to inquire about the price, I was disappointed when the rep said it would be $159 for the first cleaning, then cost less when we're on a regular cleaning schedule. I told her we'd just had our house professionally cleaned 5 weeks ago and it just needed a standard cleaning. It's a small house--just under 1300 sq ft, 3 bedrooms/2.5 bath, no kids. So she offered an hourly rate instead, which was $29/hour with a 3 hour minimum, at the time. I was satisfied with this. It took one person 4 hours to clean our home. They worked hard and did a good job. They arrived almost 15 minutes late, but I didn't mind much. The manager for the Saint Peters area stopped by near the end of the cleaning to inspect the work and ensure I was happy. I was, and just pointed out a couple spots I noticed had not been dusted. I haven't asked Cottage Care to return, but will consider them again if I don't find a quality, reliable, less expensive alternative soon.

Description of Work: Two girls arrived at my home on time. One was OK at her cleaning tasks, however, she broke a plate and bell during the cleaning process. She placed a call to her supervisor, who came to mh house and collected the pieces of the brken item, said she would contact me and uneil I called her I did not hear from her. When I contacted her in January she said she had left a message, which was not on my phone. The plate still has not been replaced and if I had not called I feel they would have ignored this whole issue. I understand that things break, however, I do not understand Cottage Care not trying to contact me more than once, which I still doubt they did. The second girl who cleaned the bathroom did a horrible job. I had to go back and clean the shower myself after paying them a good amount of money to do their job. When I confronted the girl she said she had cleaned the shower floor and what was there was how it cleaned up. When i sprayed it with my cleaner I let it soak for about 5 minutes rinsed the cleaner and it was sparkling clean. I knew my hardwood floors were in need of a good cleaning and told them this upfront. After I asked they wipe the floor on hands and knees, which they said they do. After they left I noticed many places where they had lifted their rags to rinse them and never went back tp wie up the residue from the rag before it was rinsed off. Due to my bad back I was not able to go and reclean and had to leave the marks on the floor for my party. I will wait for another week to see if they really call me back and settle the issue of the broken plate.

 + -1 moreOverall, I am very pleased. I've had several challenges, and was unable to clean off many floors and surfaces, as I'd intended. Some floors have boxes still stacked, and the master bedroom has way too much stuff on surfaces. We'll do better the next time, preparing for the cleaning team.
Description of Work: 2 ladies from Cottage Care showed up promptly and cleaned my home from top to bottom. Although I was out of town, and my house in the middle of several remodeling projects, they did a wonderful job. I came home to a clean, fresh smelling house. It was heavenly.

 + -1 moreWe have had good luck with them. We spent about $140 for our 2200 square foot home and we think it is pretty reasonable compared to others. One or two people come out to do the work. They always clean very well and do the extras like cleaning the blinds and much more than I would probably do on my own. If we call them and only give them a few days notice and they are always able to come out. we just call them on demand and they have never said no, so it had been a pleasant experience
