The reason I wanted to write this review was because it is so difficult to have work done on a vacation house when you live 6 hours away in another state and don't know anybody. When my husband and I wanted to replace our wooden stairs from the lake house to the dock with concrete, we hired Hoover Concrete Company upon a recommendation from our neighbor. Because of the position of the steps to the lake, this was not an easy task as the concrete had to be applied to the area by "shooting" it over the house. Mr. Hoover did an excellent job and the cost was very reasonable. Because we were impressed with his work, we hired him to remodel our two bathrooms. He replaced the plumbing and installed a new tub in one bathroom and a new shower stall in the other. Then, we hired Mr. Hoover to remodel our kitchen which involved removing a cabinet peninsula and replacing it with a new island, thus changing the whole design of the kitchen. No matter what we wanted to do, Mr. Hoover was very receptive to it and considered it "done." He was able to move our existing cabinets into a new design, saving us a lot of money for new cabinets. He also replaced our interior metal railing with a new wooden one. It was amazing how beautifully he stained it to match the woodwork. Since we first hired Larry Hoover, we have always been impressed with his work and attitude. Trusting someone to work in your house while you are far away is very important. Mr. Hoover is that someone. I can really trust him with any job.
