They picked it up from North Carolina in early December, maybe the first week to the 11th and they delivered it out this week. They moved it out to the warehouse in Missouri and then they collect the pianos that are coming to the same areas and then they drive them.  My only complaint was they were delivering to Chicago Illinois which is very difficult to bring an 18 wheeler and having the space on your street to park. I kept on asking them to get a city permit which I could not applied to reserve space on the street and they wouldn’t even consider doing it. I had to stake out the street and put out my own signs.  They gave me the best price I could receive, they were expensive but they only moved piano. Of the three companies I looked that do only piano they had the best price. I would tell a friend if they live in the urban area that they want to consider somebody else which has more familiarly with getting permits and reserving space or ask them to get a smaller vehicle. They took out of my father’s place and they put in on my house with three persons. I thought the people who took the disassemble the piano were meticulous and they explained everything to me. I really like the people who took the piano out of my father’s house and the fellows that brought it in I was a little less enthusiastic about. They didn’t wipe their feet off and it was real muddy.  They put up the piano promptly and efficiently.

Excellent communication, very professional and pleasant crews on both ends. They were extremely careful with our Steinway M. and we felt the price we paid to move it between the Columbus, Ohio area and southern Wisconsin was worth it, especially since they stored it in Missouri at proper temp and humidity until we were ready for it. Great people and we'd definitely use them again!

They arrived early, moved the piano into our building and put it in place, and removed an old piano that was no longer usable. They moved those pianos with care and efficiency, and made the job look as easy as picking up a piece of paper and did not waste a second of time. In addition, all three of the men were polite and very nice to deal with.

Came in and had moved in virtually no time. Knew what they were doing and did not scratch my new wood floor.

Lonnie arrived on time and was very professional and thorough in his preparation, the move and the setup in the new location. He even repaired the pedal assembly which evidently had been broken for years and he reversed the legs for a better display of the design of the legs.

Everything was perfect from the 1st call for information until the piano was delivered. They took the time to explain everything to me and eased my concern of having my piano hanging out somewhere for a couple of weeks. The piano was in great condition and I didn't have to lift a finger other than calling them and paying the check. The piano was in their care the entire time and not being passed between local movers & the long hauler. The movers were very knowledgeable and kept in touch by phone. They are very much worth the cost and it ended up being less than all other options. Will use them again if I ever have to move the piano long distance again.

Hands down, as professional as one can get! These are REAL movers specialized in pianos, they really know the ins and outs of handling these instruments. From first contact with Cory to delivery I have nothing but the highest praises to Modern Piano Moving. They moved my piano from the West Coast to the Midwest with care and professionalism. The piano arrived just as it left its former location: in pristine condition! Communication was always very good, emails and phone calls were always promptly answered/returned. And the professionals in charge of delivering my piano - Patrick, John, and Don - had years of experience, the best truck and equipment to work with, a great deal of knowledge about the handling and lifting of heavy (really heavy) things, and moved a grand piano with ease and lots of skill down through a challenging staircase leading to my studio basement. They are very respectful, polite and very engaging! You can tell they take a lot of pride of working for this company and spoke very highly of its owner and the way they are treated as employees. This tells me that this a very serious company, committed to excellence in service and aware that they can only achieve it by training, respecting and empowering the people they hire. I highly recommend Modern Piano Moving...they are not the cheapest, but you get what you pay for: a truly remarkable service. Thanks to Cory, Patrick, John and Don!!!

The movers Chris and Wes were very professional and kept us informed on their location on the day of the delivery. They arrived within the time window stated. They took extra care not to damage our hardwood floors or walls as they placed it in our living room. They even laid down moving blankets on our sidewalk to keep their metal ramp from scratching the concrete and steps. The attention to detail was very much appreciated.

We have a long driveway - LONG - but their 75' truck couldn't come up as they wouldn't have been able to back down into the street.  So, they unloaded at street level and had to push the piano up the hill all the way to the house.  They were cheerful, professional, and punctual!  Very pleased and will use them again.

Fantastic. They were forthright and accommodating to a hurried pick-up schedule. Called me ahead of time to let me know each time their delivery window got more and more clear. Would definitely use again.

The best piano move ever.  Having had a terrible experience years ago with a national moving company (who destroyed my piano) I was determined to find the right people to move this grand.  With attention to every detail the movers padded, packed and maneuvered the instrument out of my home flawlessly.  On arrival in upstate New York the movers again maneuvered it through a tight entry and set it up perfectly.  Surprisingly, the instrument remained in tune, a sign of gentle treatment and no vast humidity changes because the instrument was wrapped correctly.  Having been a piano salesman in New York City and in charge of rentals for home and public performance I've been involved with hundreds of moves.  I couldn't have asked for more or had it done better.  Thank you!
