I wished I would of researched this guy before hiring him. Big mistake. Rick wanted half the money down before he started. Same as the other reviews. He said he needed the money to keep his wife out of jail. Red flag I know. He did start the work but barely and then wanted even more money. My husband finally said no to more money until the job was done. He only put 4 boards on and already had half the money down. He stole all the material WE bought. Huge scammer.

Contractor (Richard Ripetto) kept delaying the start date due to other jobs he said he had scheduled and was behind on. Finally after another delay to start the project on 8/18 he admitted that he had spent all of our money and had not purchased any of the materials for the job. I asked for a full refund by 8/25 if he did not start the job by that date.
He did not show up to do the work and when pressed would not return our deposit or give us any date when he planned to accomplish the work. This is fraud in every sense of the word and not a quality issue since he didn't even do any work.

First he didn't show when he said he would.  He said he was going to start the next week after I gave him the deposit he didn't.  He showed up with his men on a Tuesday and put the forms and re-bar in it, but before he got ready to pour the concrete I inspected it and noticed he wouldn't be able to have the four inches of concrete that should have been there.  Some places would have been as thin as one inch.   The re-bar was touching the forms which is permitable either.  He framed that work and left and said he would be back in a few house with the concrete mixer to pour the concrete.  I left him a note and explained that the issues need to be corrected before the pouring.  He kept saying that I was getting more for my money which wasn't true because the concrete was so thin in many places.  That seemed to anger him and he said he didn't have time for the job, said he had bigger jobs to attend to.  Said he might be back in a week or he might just refund the money and not do the job.  And that's the way he left.  This was on the 20th, I went to my lawyer and had him send a letter stating that I wished to terminate my contract and needed to be refunded for the $1000 deposit.  After I talked to Angie's List they informed me that I need to reach out to talk to him.  I left a message for him to call me back.  He didn't call me back but called my attorney and stated he had no intentions of returning the $1000 deposit.
