It went as expected. Had to return the next day which they did promptly to adjust the controls.

About five years ago, they installed a new Energy Star system. They will soon install a similar system in my daughter's condo.

The house is huge and it's old. They had to find places for duct work and stuff but they stuck to it and didn't give up. They were professional and timely. They always let me know when they were coming. They had to troubleshoot the house to get the places. Once they had to cut through the concrete wall to get some places. They were undaunted at the project and never got frustrated with the huge house. There are still some bits and pieces that are incomplete because the project was sorted. They did a fair work here on site and communicated with me on a regular basis when my general contractor was failing the job. It speaks a lot to their name. I will definitely use them in the future.

We switched to West County about a year ago because the company that installed our geothermal HVAC was unresponsive. As always, they responded quickly and fixed a minor problem that probably was caused by a power outage while we were away. We've been very pleased with West County's work and have used them at our rental property, too.

If you are serious about the system, West is very good to work with. I liked him. He shows up when he says and he and his well driller do what they say they will do. Lots of upfront planning needed. Ask questions, understand the foot print for soil and space needed for the system. Understand how this may impact your electric service capacity if you currently have a gas fired furnace. Well driling took about a week, system installation took about another week. Exterior work can be impacted by wet weather and so will resulting mess and potential for drill rig damage - schedule work for a dry weather month. Drilling will use a lot of water and produce a lot of mudd runoff even when dry. Move and relocate any plants you want to save that are in the foot print of the wells, the trench, and the drill rig. Excellent result, except a lot of dust from concrete driling in Basement and a lot of rocks and drilling mud to deal with from drilling wells and trench for pipe run from wells to basement wall penetration. Plan to spend ~$5k on restoring your yard. - more if all is done by landscape contractors. this cost can be built into the total cost if you so choose for tax purposes. We love the Geo Thermal system. Best HVAC decision we could have made. Back up furnace has not yet had to turn on as of 12/28-2010. Ground link heat pump has done all our heating for our large home. AC in summer was fantastic. Very quite, no outside air coils. lots of waste hot water in summer. - supplied 90 % of our hot water needs till winter set in. We estimate we will enjoy total energy savings of between 75 and 80% vs the prior year. We would do it again. We tell all our friends to do it.

I think they are honest. If I would call to tell them I didn't have heat of air conditioning they would come out that day to resolve the issue. When they were scheduled the last time they were running late and someone called to let me know. I have always found their prices to be fair. I never felt like they pressured me to buy anything or do anything that wasn't necessary - I really trust them.

AC went out the first day of the Independence Day weekend. After suffering a day and two nights, while we attempted to resolve the problem ourselves, we called the owner on the afternoon of July 4th and he came out immediately! He diagnosed the problem and since he already had the correct part on his truck, he was able to replace the defective part, check out some other issues with the unit, and write up the bill in a half an hour or so. While I was still waiting on the phone for the insurance company, we had a pleasant conversation. Even with the reasonable holiday service call fee, we were extremely pleased with the cost. What more could anyone want from a service professional?! :-)
