I inherited a beautiful 18k white gold, art deco diamond ring made in the 1930s from my late grandmother.  It needed to be upsized as it was WAY too small for my ring finger.  Also, I wanted to have an idea of what it is worth, so, I took it, along with another ring of mine with a loose stone to Summit Jewelry Co. to see what they could do.
The associate who assited me was polite plus seemed experienced and knowledgeable.  She provided me with the cost to size up my grandma's ring and explained that it was based on going up 3+ sizes.  Also, she took the time to explain they could provide me with a verbal appraisal at no cost for each ring, but if I was looking for a written appraisal, such as for insurance purposes, there would indeed be a charge for that service. 
I was told it would take about a week, which is much faster than several other jewelers I was checking out on-line.  Summit called me the following Friday to inform me both rings were ready to pick-up at my convenience.  They made it extremely easy on me!  All I had to do was drop the rings off and take my claim ticket.  When I went to pick-up and pay, I simply showed my ticket and out they came.
They were unable to come to a conclusion as to the value of the second ring upon doing routine initial testing.  My guess is the stone is not as valuable as I had hoped, however, they cleaned it and figured out a way to tighten the stone within the setting in order to reduce the chance of my losing it.

I received a new watch for my birthday that was gorgeous but too big for my wrist. It wasn't an expensive watch by any measure, so I was a bit intimidated to take it to a and quot;realand quot; jeweler to fix but if I didn't I couldn't wear it. I stopped into Summit Jewelers 10 minutes before closing tonight and got the BEST service. The gentleman that worked with me was super nice, fixed the watch in about 2 minutes, and even tried it on me to make sure it was perfect! On top of all that, he wouldn't even let me pay for his time. They had lots of nice jewelry around (a lot of really unique looking pieces) and I'll definitely be going back next time I'm looking for something new.

The repairs are invisible. The staff was very nice and helpful.

Tina initially sketched and created a wedding band for me to match my engagement ring a couple years ago. Recently she recreated the engagement ring for me from a photograph and was so helpful in bringing in center stones for us to chose from and both times matching up the inlaid stones (hope this is the correct terminology). What has impressed me everytime I see her, when getting my rings cleaned or when she is helping me, is how knowledgeable, creative and patient she is. She has a great sense about her of what will please the customer in style, size, price, etc. I have seen a customer bring in some loose stones and them work together to create what will be a gift for her friend. I have also looked at her creations in the glass display cases. She is very talented and really a great pleasure to work with so I highly recommend her.
The customer service and friendliness of everyone I have met or worked with at Summit is amazing. They are honest, creative people who truly want you to be so thrilled with your jewelry. About 10 years ago I came in with my mom who had an old ring that wasn't worth much monetarily but was sentimental and they discussed ways that she could have it reset. Sadly she never did make a decision on what she wanted so we didn't come back but I remember how wonderful they were back then and that's why I returned when looking for my own rings. You will be very happy doing business at Summit.

They just do excellent work and they will do repair work on sterling silver. I have used them ever since they were in business. It is a small family owned business. They do work in sterling silver. I have recommended them to other people who were looking for someone to repair sterling silver piece jewelry. Their prices are moderate to high.
