Amazing! On 8/20, I dropped my Kenmore Intuition off at OK Vacuum and Janitor Supply with no hope of getting it up and running again. It started with a check bag light that would not go off. I googled the issue and found several troubleshooting videos. So, I took my vacuum apart, blew out all the dust, changed the bag, ordered new filters and replaced each of those. No success. When I put the vacuum back together, I realized that the cord would no longer "catch". I decide to focus on getting the vacuum working again before I go back to fix the cord. Back to google and an understanding of "tortured suction". Aha! This is not a filter or bag issue; there must be something caught in the hose! Surely, I can clear a hose. I found a disposable snake (clean, of course) and started fishing dust, hair, and debris out of the hose on the handle end. After about the fourth attempt to clear it, I pulled the snake out and the bristle portion was missing....now stuck in my hose with whatever else. Keep in mind, the Kenmore Intuition was designed with a near 90 degree bend where the handle meets the hose which prevents you from seeing into the hose at this end. This is why I chose to start snaking at this end. When I lost the head of the snake, I decided (in frustrated curiosity) to take the handle apart. A few screws later, I'm carefully deconstructing the handle and, just to solidify the death of this poor vacuum, I tore the wire ribbon from the circuit board. Back to google. This time to search for a repair person. I initially called Sears, which is where I bought the vacuum years ago. I was way out of warranty, but it made sense to go back to the retailer. I was put on hold for way too long (something we are all now accustomed to), then transferred to the service line where an automated message told me no one was available and promptly hung up on me. That was pointless; but while on hold, I started looking at local repair businesses. Most of these had good reviews, but OK Vacuum and Janitor Supply received a 5.0 star on Yelp! That is unusual since most reviews are left by unsatisfied customers. I had to call them, at least. One call to explain all of the above and Kevin said I should bring it in and let them look at it. They provide free estimates on repair work, so I wouldn't be any worse off. Great! I arrived within the hour, a bit embarrassed, but also hopeful that someone might be able to revive my favorite vacuum. Kevin explained that he expected to be able to look at it later in the week and would call me. On 8/23, Kevin called with the great news. He was able to fix each of the three issues and the vacuum was running again! I picked it up that day and immediately brought it home and vacuumed my entire house. It works beautifully again! I could not be happier with the customer service and the repair work. I will certainly be back since I hold on to that tendency to tackle my own repairs in spite of my limitations. I just hope they can continue to fix my mistakes! Thank you for your expertise and your work.

I visited OK Vacuum & Janitor Supply for help with my Dyson vacuum.  Despite calling Dyson's technical support hotline, I wasn't able to fix the problem myself (weird noise and loss of suction).  The employee inspected my vacuum, located a blockage that I hadn't been able to find, and cleared it out for me.  When I asked how much I owed him, he refused to charge me.  He was extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and professional.  I would absolutely return to OK Vacuum & Janitor Supply for repairs in the future.

I had already tried fixing my vacuum cleaner myself, to no avail. Based on Angie's List reviews, I took it to O K on a Friday morning. Described the problem. Person got his electric screwdriver out, took off a plate, diagnosed a worn belt, and had a new belt on before I could blink. He tested to be sure the problem was fixed, and that was that. He only charged for the belt, not for diagnosis or labor, and I was out of there in 10 minutes.
Wow, just ... wow! I only wish these guys did something I needed more of so I could go to them more often. Absolutely top marks in service, responsiveness.

I have been going to this company for many years. This time I got a small area rug caught in my rug attachment. My attachment then didn't work. This same thing happened to me about a year ago with a curtain that I got caught in it. I tried to set the reset button but it didn't work.
I took it over there and TJ got it working again in a matter of minutes. He took the head apart to check if there was power. It turns out that I didn't get the reset button down far enough to make it work. He did this for me the last time I made it die, but I couldn't remember what he did to fix it. This time I will make notes.
They have a great supply of vacuum cleaner bags and other needs as well as great cleaning products. I love the great customer service that is so hard to find these days. Good job!

We just moved into a new place with hardwood floors and I needed a new vacuum. I had looked at many places that most people do (think big box stores of all kinds) and just didn't find what a needed. Once I entered the OK store they were right there to help me pick the right vacuum. I told them what I had to clean and only the few requirements I had, and they directed to the model that best fit me. They were never pushy towards the pricier models if I didn't feel I needed what they provided. In addition they carry great vacuum brands that cannot be purchased at just any store, but only from certified retailers. OK is the place to purchase a vacuum.

I BOUGHT TWO FEATHER DUSTERS THAT WERE OVER PRICED BUT I NEEDED THEM SO I BOUGHT THEM. THEY STARTED FALLING APART SO MY HUSBAND WHO GOES THEIR QUITE OFTEN WENT TO RETURN THEM WITH THE SAVED FEATHERS AND THEY SAID WE DON'T SELL FEATHER DUSTERS. WE HAVE DONE BUSINESS WITH THE STORE FOR OVER 5 YEARS BUT IT IS UNDER NEW OWNERSHIP AND THEY WERE QUITE RUDE AND WOULDN'T EVEN DISCUSS THE ISSUE WITH HIM.
