D M Hynes Constructors LLC

During the early part of 2013, DM Hynes Constructors (owner Dave Hynes) redid my kitchen. My mom had been over to a neighbor's condo to see their new kitchen, which Dave had worked on, and thought it was terrific. So she told me to include Dave when I was soliciting bids to redo my decrepit kitchen.

During bid solicitation, I was impressed by Dave Hynes' understanding of the project and answers to my questions. I thought the price was reasonable.  (I had already purchased the cabinets & hardware, subway tiles to make a backsplash, new sink, new dishwasher, new microwave, new laminate countertop, and some touch-up paint.)

Dave and his team did an excellent job with the installation. The kitchen came out great. 

So, toward the end of 2013, I asked him if he did any deck work. He said he did, so again I got a couple of bids and ultimately went with Dave again. The deck--a standard square deck with stairs (it's maybe 8-10 feet off the ground, I guess)--was recently completed and looks great.  Dave followed all county requirements (permits, inspections, etc.) and the new deck is solid as a rock.  

I was pleased by the way he cleaned up after himself on both projects. I was not left with tons of leftovers and crap to clean up.
I also appreciate that Dave Hynes made it clear that he wants the customer (me, in this case) to be happy with the finished job. I can't say that about every contractor I've engaged over the years.

I decided after two successful projects that he was worth putting on Angie's List.  :-)

He got it all done in one day. He did not do the striping on the asphalt, but he did state this ahead of time and referred us to another company to do take care of this.
