Coach Harder Driving School

Coach Harder Driving School did a great job. Our son had 40 hours of driving experience but I'd heard the test had its own special features, and I didn't want him to fail and have to re-take it. In 2 lessons the Coach Harder instructors taught our son the important things he needed to know for the driving test. His 3rd session was a practice test, and the next day he took the actual test and passed it with a very high core.

She learned a lot and really like her lessons. The instructor made good choices as to the roads and areas to drive through. He took safe routes and showed her how to drive safely.

I highly recommend Coach Harder's Driving School to equip new drivers for safety and road readiness.  The instructors are calm and provide excellent training.  My timid and anxiety prone daughter now has confidence as well as solid driving skills.

Unfortunately, my daughter was unable to have the same instructor for each lesson.  The first two lessons went well, but that instructor was unavailable for the next lesson.  However, by the fourth lesson and the third instructor, they hit the perfect note with Coach Kristen.  My daughter's confidence grew, and her skills exceeded all my expectations.   For each lesson, my daughter was picked up from our home and spent an hour to an hour and a half navigating the city streets or the highways.   She learned how to parallel park in record time. 

The package I purchased included a four hour classroom segment.  The classroom segment was not the boring rules of the road class that I went through in drivers ed, but a more practical experience that left a meaningful impression on my daughter.  I can't find the words to describe all that she was exposed to during the session, but it was impactful. 

I need to state that one of my chief concerns was that my daughter has ADHD.  As a result, I worried that she would become distracted while driving.  I made them aware of my concerns and the instructors addressed them accordingly.

The owner and instructor helped us and eplained. They preformed their duties well.

My daughter is in a lot of activities and my husband and I were eager to have my daughter start learning to drive. After getting her permit, I took her out to a large parking lot. She had no driving experience, except driving a go-kart or lawn mower on rare occasion. After perhaps one of the longest hours of my life, I took her home. My husband had her drive down the block, then we decided it was time to call Coach Harder Driving School--we had picked up his card at a school open house. Let me preface this by saying my child is NOT a crazy driver, she was just the opposite, she was painfully slow and methodical and the thought of pulling out on Olive or Page was frightening! I called the next day and easily booked time for 7 consecutive days over spring break. We met Keith Harder the first day and he took her out driving. My daughter is only 5'2 and she said she loved learning in the brand new Kia. She liked how she could really adjust the seats and it was much easier to maneuver than my mini van. Coach Harder was always punctual and I loved the option of having my student picked up at our house, which I used 2 of the days. After every lesson, he spoke with me regarding what they worked on and things to watch for when we were practicing driving. She really liked that he was a teacher, so in her words, and quot;it didn't feel all weirdand quot; when he was trying to talk with her during lessons. They spoke easily about school and activities. She is SOOO much better than that first day! My daughter told me that Coach Harder was extremely patient and relaxed and she reminds me of this when I am with her in new areas, like driving down town for the first time (apparently I need to work on that). I would consider myself pretty frugal, however, my husband and I will definitely use Coach Harder for our pre teen boys. We have also recommended them to several other parents struggling with their teen drivers. Coach Harder eliminated so much of the stress and made the driving experience much more pleasant for the family! After the lessons in the Spring, my daughter went on to log over 1,000 miles of driving across 4 states this summer! Money well spent!

It can be a little uncomfortable sending your child off in a car with a stranger, so I was impressed when we arrived at the Coach Harder Driving School office we were greeted by and visited with the instructor before heading out. Everyone in the office was friendly, professional and knowledgeable. The instruction put my daughter, and myself, at ease behind the wheel and allowed my daughter to pass her driver's test with a great score! The office was a very nice place for me to wait during my daughter's driving instruction and they provided free WiFi!
It is a good idea to have a professional teach our children how to drive. They know so many more small and large details that we seem to forget because we parents drive all the time. I think my daughter now knows more than I do about all the rules and laws of driving. Thank you Coach Harder for a great experience and for making the process of teaching my child to drive pain free.
