When we decided to replace our kitchen countertops with granite, we decided to lower the height of the bar that extends on the outside of the countertop with the sink. It was over 47 inches tall, which made it uncomfortable to use. Mark and Travis Steffen, the father and son owners, were able to work this short, one day job in between two large jobs they had scheduled. However, in the middle of the project, they discovered that the vent pipe from the kitchen sink ran through the middle of the bar and was higher than the proposed new bar height. This meant removing a portion of a wall in the living room, rerouting the pipe and then replacing the drywall, taping and mudding. A simple job turned more complicated. They were able to quickly adjust to the new demands and stayed until they had our house back in living condition. Then they returned on a Saturday to sand and apply more mud to the wall and also re-install the trim around the new granite top after it was installed.  We were very impressed with their professionalism. They had the skill to know how to do the job and the tools to do it efficiently. They were very careful to place tarps anywhere that might get dirty and they were very good at cleaning up before they left. Even though our job was very small (they are currently gutting and completely rebuilding the inside of a large house) they made us feel that our job was important and took pride in providing quality results. I would definitely call on them for any type of remodeling work in the future.
