I cannot recommend Steve Porter and his team highly enough. When our home experienced some serious damage after the torrential rains of July 26, we discovered that our chimney was in terrible shape, leaking and needing to be replaced. Steve came out right away to tarp the chimney and protect us from further damage while we were waiting for him to start the rebuilding project. Within days he and his crew were hard at work doing the rebuilding of the chimney and replacing a section of our roof. They did an outstanding job with the rebuild, as the before and after pictures attest. Steve and his workmen were also very conscientious and respectful of our property, carefully cleaning up their materials after each day’s work and hosing down our driveway and patio. When we got another rain as the project was underway, Steve took time to give us a call to make sure we were dry. I definitely plan to use his services when we need more roof work done. Excellent job!

- Porter Tuckpointing fixed a cinder block wall water leak by covering part of the wall in cement. 3 other firms has tried to fix the water leak without success. I showed Porter Tuckpointing's fix to a couple other contractors and they were impressed with Porter Tuckpointing's work quality. I also was impressed with work quality. In general Porter Tuckpointing's quality of work was very good for the wide variety of tasks. While Porter Tuckpointing was somewhat more expensive than other contractors, work quality was so good I'm giving a 5.0 rating. - 2424 Remington Lane has a pitched shingled roof over the the main portion of the house. There is a flat roof over the house's smaller addition. Porter Tuckpointing re-shingled the pitched roof and replaced the flat roof covering. - While re-shingling the roof, it was discovered the chimney had loose bricks. Porter Tuckpointing replaced the top 3 1/2' feet of the chimney and bolted the chimney to the frame of the house. - Tuckpointed around cement cinder blocks in crawl space. Replaced the crawl space plastic covering with a 6 mil plastic covering. - Caulked around windows, around garage door and between a sidewalk and the side of the house. - Reframed the part of a window that leaked. - Provided lien release. Half a wall of brickwork was tuckpointed, and about five courses of  bricks were re-laid. 
The work was in a very public area, near the intersection of Clayton and Tamm in Dogtown.  I heard many people comment about the high quality of the work as it progressed.
