The 2 inspecitons were performed in a reasonable time and the prices were set by the city. My work day ends a little late so I had to go back a second time because I arrived a few minutes before they closed, in which I recommend getting there early when they can more easily accept walk-ins. They changed my oil and used semi-synthetic which I prefer, but the price was a little higher than advertised, which may be due to the added labor charge. Overall they met my expections and will be returning for future service.

The mechanics at Lawler and Balthasar were prompt and curteous. As a woman, I did not feel intimidated to go in by myself and have them do the work. The price for the parts was fair, as were labor costs. I had a great experience, and I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a good auto shop.

I first learned of this shop when I worked for Enterprise-Rent-A-Car. Mark Balthaasar, the owner, would always make sure he had our car's oil changed and tires rotated promptly and would even let us know when we had mistakenly brought in a car for an oil change when it had recently been performed. Since then, I've continued to bring him my personal vehicle. The oil changes are always cheap and fast (done right too!) and the estimates are always RIGHT ON! A rebuild on my transmission on a 2001 S10 pickup was quoted at $2,200 elsewhere. Land B quoted me $1,200 and came in UNDER budget! Luckily I have a 2007 RX8 now, and I will be bringing it in shortly for a tuneup.
