Dan was great - he had to be VERY patient with us over several years due to a changing family, COVID impacts, and the resulting changes to our plans. Dan helped guide me through the sale of my mother's home from beginning to end. Because Dan has so much experience working with people just like us (and just in general), he was able to help us define what was important to us. Earlier this year, my husband and I decided it was time to buy our first home. Our only experience was what was shown on HGTV and had no idea where to start. A good friend recommended Dan to us, and we completely lucked out! Dan made the whole process easy for us and was very patient and thorough in answering our questions and making sure we understood everything from the start. He was quick to respond to all of our emails, texts, and calls, and if we found a house we were interested in, he made it a priority to get us in to see it ASAP. When looking at a house, while we were looking at the cosmetic side of things and if it would work for us, Dan was looking at the technical and foundational aspects, and looking for red flags. He is able to give a professional opinion about a potential house, which we completely trust 100%. We just bought our first house and we really lucked out with Dan as our buyer’s agent! As first-time homebuyers we had a lot of learning to do, and Dan’s expert guidance (and, at times, blunt honesty ;) helped us make good decisions that ultimately led us to a house that was just right for us. Covid-19 hit just as we were ramping up our search, and Dan was very accommodating with virtual tours and private showings that allowed us to safely continue the house hunt. Our desired location was a high-demand neighborhood where houses sell fast and, when we finally decided to put in an offer, Dan’s savvy approach to crafting an attractive offer led us to have the winning bid! Dan was very engaged throughout the closing process, giving us great advice about how to navigate tricky situations and advocating for us in negotiations. Dan is very easy to work with, uses all the latest tech, kept us informed, explained everything and put great effort into selling our home quickly and for a great price. His photos and 360 degree walk through would be great anytime, but during social distancing they were key to our fast sale. He coordinated everything and was very accurate with his assessments of both the value of our home and how fast we could sell. He put a lot of effort into getting us prepared before the home even went on the market and remained hands on all the way through closing. We appreciated working with Dan Brassil for the sale of our home recently in St. Louis. He was very professional and really helped stage the house. He absolutely made us do more to stage the house than the realtor we used previously; but we sold the house quickly so I can’t argue with the results. He is very busy and thus can have moments of being late or late communications. Overall we were very happy with the result of the process, his professionalism, and that his commission rate was less than most St.Louis realtors. We had better results for a lower cost overall.

We used Dan to help us purchase a new home. We had worked with two other real estate agents in the past and the experiences were less than satisfactory. Dan was amazing. He took our time together seriously. He was on time and he did not take calls or get on his phone while we were in showings or at closing. He was so insightful and attentive. During walkthroughs Dan was able to point out small details that we missed and red flags that might show up on an inspection report. Dan educated us about things we were unsure of. I never felt pressured to settle for something less than I wanted despite my price point. I also never felt presssured to sign any document I wasn’t comfortable with or agree to terms I didn’t like. Dan was truly our advocate in every way. He is also extremely professional. The seller’s agent was difficult to work with, but not once did Dan blame or point fingers. He just did what he had to do in order to get what we needed. Dan is someone who doesn’t push his personal preferences upon his buyers. In fact, after closing my husband and Inwere having a brief discussion about how satisfied we were with Dan, and realized we knew very little about him despite many conversations and after spending two months working together on finding and buying a home. Dan was always focused and listening to US. He cares about what we wanted and needed in a home so most conversations were focused towards that. I will recommend Dan to anybody looking to buy or sell a home. He educates, advocates, and listens. Best experience I could have imagined, despite us working with a difficult seller/seller’s agent. Dan’s assistant Christy is also amazing so even when Dan was busy with other clients Christy was always there to answer any questions I had and she kept us informed every step of the way. Dan was actually representing the other party who bought a house from me, which says a lot that I would endorse him (I highly recommend my realtor too!). When you go into a home closing negotiation, it can be nerve-racking when things go wrong unexpectedly. Some realtors can argue like lawyers and become unreasonable or unprofessional. My party and his party got through some glitches without any drama because Dan is very knowledgeable, reasonable, and professional, just like my realtor. He knew how to incorporate an escalation clause into his buyer's contract offer -not many realtors even know how to do that. He also was patient when the city was late with the inspection certificate (which appeared 30 minutes before the scheduled closing appointment!).

Dan has been our realtor since 2014. After getting some bids on a retaining wall in our current home, I realized I needed more information regarding drainage issues and permits. I emailed Dan to see if I could pick his brain. Dan not only responded to me within minutes but he also set up a time to come look at the property. After taking the time the time to climb the wall and walk the property, Dan gave guidance and feedback. I appreciate that he helped us formulate next steps for our project.
