Interior Painting
He never came back and finished the work. It has been a month now and he won't return phone calls or show up when he says he will come over to see what we are unhappy with. He has been paid the full price but won't finish or give my money back! We hired Mark Muich to paint our great room, wall over the stairs, two hallways and our front door inside and out on 5/2/2017. We agreed on a start date but he showed up a week and a half late. He came highly recommended by our neighbor so I thought I could trust him. His sons and he took a week and a half to do the painting since they didn't work all day every day. He told us he was going to use Sherwin Williams paint so I chose a SW color. After they finished painting we were going to get more paint so we could do the hall closet and found the left over paint can that he had used and found it was builder grade Glidden Paint!!! I would have never hired him if I knew he would not use SW paint! When confronted he told my husband he uses whatever is on sale. Then the next time husband confronted him, Mark said he was not going to discuss it!! His excuse is now that it was not written into the contract!! Thought his word was enough. They did such a sloppy job that they got paint on my hardwood floors, my carpeting and all over the base that holds the spindles. They didn't tape off the trim where the carpet is so they got paint in my carpet where the baseboards were painted! Also spilled a glob of paint on one of my stair steps. The spindles were only given one coat of paint by the stairs so that is the first thing a person notices going down the stairs. The new paint was painted over a dark color so you can see it thru the paint and it sticks out like a sore thumb. And in many places you can still see the old paint at the bottoms because they didn't paint all the way down to the base. There were many places on the walls that were missed, the sides of the windows that go up two stories only have one coat of paint so when you stand upstairs you can see them. They got paint on my fireplace all around it! There were several places on the walls that only had one coat of paint too where you could see the old paint thru the new. Also they got specks of dried paint in the paint they put on my walls!! Many places they got the wall paint on the baseboards and the baseboard paint on the walls! What a mess! There are drips everywhere on the spindles. They scarred up my new paint on my walls while getting their ladders out in the great room and over the stairs too. They gouged a cut into the base to my spindles at the bottom of the stairs with a ladder I assume. We have tried three different times to get Mark to come out and see the mess. He always tells us he will be there a certain day and then never shows up! He was supposed to come tonight but just didn't show yet again. He told my husband there was going to be a fight if he came over!! Never calls and tries to make things right or make a different appointment. It has been over a month and I donâ't see any reason for him to have dragged it out this long. Our great room is still completely torn up as we never moved anything back in until it is all fixed! So my house has been torn up for a month and a half! He never painted the front door either. I paid him full price for the painting and he has never finished painting everything a second coat nor did he paint my front door outside which is in my contract. You would think he would want to have a happy customer but not once has he called us or come out to finish his job! In fact he is very rude when he hears we are not happy. This man owes us for the unfinished work and the door that was never painted!

Exterior Painting
They were supposed to take care of some rust on the bottom of my garage door. They didn't get the rust off the bottom of the door. I feel that the work was done poorly. He had to paint the house twice for the coats to change the color. They came back and spent all morning correcting the problems and painted the garage door with the correct paint this time. He did go over all the spots I had pointed out to him. I appreciate that he came back and made things right with this project and I respect his honesty. I'm unsure whether or not I would hire him again. However, I am satisfied he ended up doing a good and honest job.
