We moved to Citywide Alarms after a terrible experience with our previous alarm company (ABF Security). They are fantastic! The owner and another employee walked through our house and paid attention to every detail. They didn't try to upsell or oversell us. We love that they're local, friendly, and thorough. Highly recommend!

Citywide offered the best price and equipment. They were the only company I contacted who came out and performed an inspection and gave a price. Price beat other estimates I received over the phone and included more equipment. I had them add a few items I thought would be handy. With this company you get to speak with a human right away and they are super friendly. Gave me assistance after the sale when I had to disable water senor to have new sump pump installed. Help came directly from Adam, President of the Company. The installer took a full hour to go over operating instructions and use of iPhone to control all of our system components. Total cost for equipment was $1,300. We were not in a rush, but they had the installer out to our house within 2 days.

City Alarm did a wonderful job. The owner, Adam, was very responsive and came and did the assessment himself. He was willing to work with the equipment that was already installed in order to save us money. Steve performed installation the same day, in a very expedited fashion and did a wonderful job. As they utilized previously installed equipment, we experienced some issues in the first week or so, but City Alarm came promptly to correct the issues. The entire experience was excellent I would definitely recommend City Alarm.

I located Citywide through a search for a home security system. Adam was responsive immediately and we set up a meeting that was convenient for my schedule the next day. He explained everything thoroughly and did not apply any pressure to make a decision on the spot. After two weeks we decided to move forward with Citywide. Adam set up an appointment for the next business day late in the afternoon so that both my wife and I would be present. Their technician was very professional and ran through the entire system with us multiple times until we were comfortable with everything. I would highly recommend using Citywide to anyone in the St. Louis area.

Adam came out, rearranging his schedule to meet us. He made good recommendations, and figured out the best package for us and the lowest cost, which was less than the Angie's List offer. His technician came out the following day, after calling to let us know he would be arriving sooner. Everything was installed quickly, professionally, and both Adam and our technician were friendly and personable.

We've been using Citywide Alarms since November 2016. On the day of installation two installers arrived and very efficiently and professionally put the system in place. The system is very user-friendly and we like that ours even displays the weather forecast. We can also access our system from our smart phones! No more wondering if we remembered to arm the system or if we closed the garage door! With our system we can even unlock and lock the front door remotely. This came in handy when we needed to let our early-to-arrive house guests into our home when we weren't home yet. Recently we had a new sliding door installed in our kitchen which necessitated removing the alarm sensor from the old slider to the new one. My husband attempted this himself and accidentally broke the sensor. I called Citywide Alarms and they came out that very same day to replace the sensor. I'm always impressed when a company's response to problems after the sale is as good as it was during the sale. I can attest that Citywide Alarms has great service before and after the sale. We highly recommend Citywide Alarms for your security system needs!

The owner, Adam, came out and worked with us thru multiple options to come up with the best fit for our home. The alarm system and home automation features are great. Citywide has always been very responsive to remedy any issues, walking us thru fixes over the phone or coming out when necessary. Only issue we have is with the video doorbell only working intermittently, but that's more an issue with the hardware not Citywide. Customer service is an A+.

My house was broken into the week of 11/30. I called Citywide Alarms and they responded quickly. I had a working alarm system installed in my house within a few days. The sales person and technicians were very professional and knowledgeable. The system is very user friendly and I absolutely love being able to use my smart phone to set and disable my house alarm remotely!!! I am very satisfied with Citywide Alarms and would highly recommend them to anyone in need of an Alarm system.

We have had City Wide Alarm system since the middle of October 2016. Adam Fogal, the president of CWA, came out to our house personally. Adam walked around the house and discussed with us our security needs. He then gave us his best advice and also provided us one heck of a deal on some of the most high-tech equipment we could get for our home. When we met with Adam, he was not a pushy salesperson by any means. He was down-to-earth, let the product sell itself, uber excited about how much equipment we could get... it was like having a friend over to the house. Not to mention that there was no cost to us for the equipment nor activation. We did sign a 3-year contract (like with most alarm companies) and we were happy to do so. We set up an appointment to have the alarm installed the following week, although Adam offered to install it the very next day. Steve came out and was very thorough and so polite and kind. We had some issues with our AC at the time and was even willing to discuss how to troubleshoot the issues with us and the repair person. That is unheard of, based on our experiences. It was not about being territorial or a "know-it-all"; it was about doing what is best for the customer and the situation - a philosophy that we feel is shared by both Steve and Adam. And we appreciate that very much. It made us feel comfortable and very taken care of. We did run into a couple of minor issues after the installation... nothing bad; just a couple of minor equipment adjustments, which were quickly remedied by Steve the very next day. And a few days later, we noticed another small issue with the control panel not relaying some information correctly and Adam, even though it was probably overkill, ended up authorizing us to have a signal booster to help keep the alarm signals strong in the house. So not only was the issue remedied but remedied in such a way as to protect us from having any issues down the road. CityWide went above and beyond our expectations and we could not be happier. Adam (and Steve) are the types of people you dream about working with when you hire someone to do a job for you. The level of customer service, the equipment, the value of the product, the cost we pay per month compared to other companies and plans, the peace of mind we have knowing we are protected - all are top notch and worth the investment. And we were fortunate enough to be able to support a local business too, which is pretty cool.

Adam is very helpful and professional. Everyone that I talked to at City Alarms was friendly, informative and have great personalities. They bring a smile to my face. They are NOT pushy trying to sell their product. I had an alarm with a different company but my service contract was finished. I was glad that they came to my door. I did ask them how they knew that I had just moved into the neighborhood. The salesman said and I quote, "We have been sitting in that tree on your front lawn waiting for you to finish moving in..." Talk about a sense of humor! They had me from the get go. I asked them to call me back on another day because I was busy that day. They called! I told them to come by my place. We drove to my old rental house and took all the sticky alarm things from the doors and windows. It was so nice to meet the people that make up City Alarms Company. Very positive experience. The whole team, including Matt, went above and beyond in helping me with my new system. The installation process was quick and simple. Using the equipment is easy. Matt even stopped by a few days after the installation to look everything over and make sure that I understood how to use the system to best protect me. I wanted to support a local business as opposed to the big chains, and this local business is very friendly and helpful. Would recommend to anyone.

I can't say enough good things about this company. Chris came out to our home in the early evening earlier this week. He took the time to explain everything to us and answer any additional questions that we had. He evaluated our house, gave us his recommendations for the type of alarm protection that was necessary and gave us a few options as well. There was no pressure to purchase and I felt like I was talking to an old friend. The prices were so reasonable that we decided to set up an appointment to have an alarm installed. To our surprise, we were able to have the alarm fully installed and functional in less than 24 hours.
Our experience with the installation was equally amazing. Adam and his installer (I'm so sorry I forgot your name but you are also awesome) came to our house in the midst of construction dust and contractors working. They had our alarm installed and operating within an hour. They were amazing and I know if I ever have an issue, they will jump right in to help me get it resolved.
The alarm system itself is so easy to use. We also opted for fire protection. We inadvertently tested out the fire alarm when it was activated by excessive plaster dust. We were able to cancel the alarm from the panel within 5 seconds. Seconds later, we received a courtesy call to make sure that it was a false alarm. I am very pleased with our entire experience and would highly recommend City Wide Alarms to anyone considering a security system. It is a personable experience and you won't be disappointed.

I am writing this review as the mother of a young, single female in St Louis. When our daughter recently bought her first home, we discussed the value of a security system for her and suggested that she get several estimates and then make the decision whether or not she wanted one and if so, who she would trust with the job.
We happened to meet Chris and Bob the weekend I was there helping her to paint before she moved in. They were very friendly and professional when talking to her. I appreciated that they directed all of their comments and questions to her as the homeowner and not to me as the older adult in the room. It doesn't sound like much, but it was very important and showed their professionalism with their potential customer.
They spent a lot of time with her working on an estimate for what she actually needed, felt comfortable with and what her budget allowed. In comparing the 3 estimates she received, her first impression was that the local, small business owner was not going to be able to compete on price; however, she found that Citywide's prices were very comparable and the service they promised won her over. She loves being able to check on things and access her homes security using her phone.
She mentioned that Steve (installer) was very professional and courteous during the installation and as a mom, that was very appreciated. Having met two of the employees myself, I did feel comfortable having them in my daughter's home and trusting that they would do the job right.
She has had one false alarm since installing it and that was due to a miscommunication/user error with her brother. They handled the call just the way they were supposed to and that's all that can be asked.

Within a day of buying the house, we had several different alarm companies call us. Each of them (except Citywide) came in with a sales pressure pitch and spoke to me like I was on a used car lot instead of my own living room. ADT even had sales reps competing against one another!
Bob and John came in and were the only ones to ask us about our concerns. After talking about our concerns he walked the house thoroughly and made notes and eventually recommendations. He then spent about a working WITH us to craft a plan.

I was sure that when we got to the bottom line, Citywide would be immensely more expensive than the big chains, because they spent so much time with us and crafted a custom plan for us. The company owner and installer were very nice and personable. They each explained the details of what was installed and how to use it. And the installation process was super fast.
The company owner matched the prices with other competitors, so I know I was getting the best deal. They did not push me to upgrade or buy more products. They were very honest and sold me just what was needed for what I wanted. It was nice to know they have other options available, and I will not hesitate to contact them when I feel ready to upgrade.

Our experience was fine. They did it that day and then, they came back and finished it the next day. There were additional fees to the $99 Big Deal because we changed our alarm system where it is not landline based but electronic. I would tell a friend to get it in papers and in writing first before they ever get started. The reason we got into this was there was going to be video cameras. Looking at the ad from Angie’s List, it had a picture of camera on there, but we did not get any camera. All we got is the same thing as we already had but a bigger box. It was a little bit expensive. The one we had before was Alarm 24 and their monthly rate was $51 for three months and Citywide is $49 every month. So, it is about three times higher. The quality is good. They want everything to come to us on our cellphone. We are older so we do not have cellphones attached to our bodies like 20-year old students. There punctuality was good. Starting from scratch, I would not use them.

The image that was attached to our Big Deal was the generic Home Alarm picture (also used by competitors), placed there by Angie’s List. The monthly monitoring rate was included in the fine print of the package as well. The listed package included our Touch screen Panel, a Verizon communication unit, 4 sensors, 1 motion detector, 1 Smart Thermostat, 1 Smart Door Lock, and 1 Interactive Video Doorbell for $99, (valued at $1800) with a $49.99 monthly monitoring fee. We tried to provide you with our video doorbell, but due to your rural location and lack of quality Internet suppliers, we were unable to make it function. We made accommodations for your home and replaced the video doorbell with 2 glass breaks and an extra motion detector. The additional $200 charge was for a Secondary Touch Screen Panel that you had requested, which was not a part of the Big Deal. We also spent over 10 cumulative hours coming up with a solution to secure the area desired for cameras. Without a power supply or Internet availability, we were unable to install cameras within your budget, although we did provide you with our best and smartest alarm system. We pride ourselves in great customer service and are sorry to hear that you are not satisfied. Please feel free to contact us if you would like to move forward with our camera solution."

We recently opened a new office and needed an alarm system installed. After getting quotes from 4 companies we went with Citywide Alarms. We worked with Adam, the company President, and he was great. After asking questions about our areas of concern and assessing our office space he sent us a quote that only reflected what we actually needed and he never tried to up-sell us on services we didn't need. The Citywide installation estimate was the lowest we received, but I don't feel like we've taken the cheap way out, we have exactly what we need. Their monthly fee was very competitive to the other 3 companies. We got the Smartphone App which makes arming and disarming very simple without running for the door as we leave or running for the control panel when we arrive - however we do still have a control panel if we want or need to use it. On the day of installation Adam and his crew were very professional and they made sure that everyone in our office was completely comfortable with the system before they left. Since then Adam has followed-up to make sure everything is still going OK. I also like that they are a local, family owned business.

Citywide alarms set up a new alarm system for my home. The alarm system is user friendly and can be managed from my phone. The company also installed a smart thermostat that can also be managed from my phone. The service providers were warm and professional. I plan to get more services in the future such as a video doorbell and smart garage door opener.

Jim, Citywide representative, welcomed us to the neighborhood the first week of our move. He was very friendly and informative about the alarm system and the neighborhood. It felt as though we had known him for years. Jim provided the price, plan options and competitive price comparisons. We decided to go with Citywide for price and because of the personal customer service. The installers were punctual, professional and curtious.
