Good news.  the five dogwoods are alive and doing well.  Happy with that part.
However, we have no lawn.  The lawn was seeded during the winter with no regard that it was all going to wash away with the first rain.  It would seem that that should have been an anticipatable event given the time of year.  I have no idea what the alternative was but then I'm not the professional. We have wonderful bluegrass growing out of our gravel driveway and more grass growing out of the landscaping gravel than the dirt. The grass we do have is sparse, rough field grass.

I have not had any problem with them.  They come twice a year to turn it on during spring and turn it off during fall.  They have been a little late in the last two years.  They were supposed to come in March and last two years they have been coming in April.  My parents also use them and they have the same complaint.  They say that they are so busy that they fell behind.  They are one of the most expensive companies in the town.  I think they are just a little bit over priced.  I continue to use them because they installed all the equipment and if something goes wrong they know where everything is.  When they come they are in and out of here very fast.  They barely check anything.  I have tried calling them for many things and they respond quickly if you want to purchase, but they don’t respond so well when there is a problem.  One my parents had a pipe broken and they did not respond quickly.  It was not a good experience.  I have had hot days and they did not turn on the sprinklers.
