He came to the house early 1/4/16, after a three day weekend, because my furnace would not stay lit. He arrived about 9:15 and was done by about 9:45. He told me a new valve would cost about $500, but my furnace was pretty old and it made more sense to apply that amount to a new furnace. He also mentioned the carbon monoxide was somewhat high at the inside register. He lit the furnace pilot and it is working now.
We decided he would install a new furnace when his schedule permitted, probably next week. Although the furnace is working right now, I also have gas logs and a couple of oil heaters, so I can survive without the furnace.
He was very courteous and professional. He had been recommended to me by a friend who works for the local gas utility company and I totally trust that recommendation.
