They did not complete the job, then wanted paid in full a second time to come and finish the inspection.

I am impressed and beyond pleased with the thorough inspection and report done for me on the home that I am buying. The inspection was done on time and the report provided was sent to me the next day. The report is highly detailed and I feel confident that no stone was left unturned. I'm very happy that I used Mirowski Inspections for my home and pest inspection.  Jedidiah went through the entire house with a fine tooth comb.  The final report was comprehensive and easy to read.  My real estate agent was also very impressed with the level of detail he provided.  The inspection wasn't cheap however, it was worth every penny and I definitely received what I paid for!  At first my Father-in-Law thought I was paying to much, but after meeting with Jedidiah, and seeing his attention to detail on everything from small to large, made him quickly change his mind.  
What was really above and beyond in my opinion, is that a week or so after I received the inspection report, the seller's of the home I was buying didn't understand a couple of the discrepancies and contacted Mirowski.  At no additional charge, Jedidiah went back to the house to meet with the owner's and took the time to explain everything to them.  This helped to have those items repaired, which in the long run saved me money.  
 If you want a real inspection, by a company that is thorough, and has good communication and a high level of attention to detail, then this company is for you.  You get what you pay for, and I'm confident that Mirowski Inspections saved me money from costly future repairs.

The inspector was very thorough and helped me to understand the issues with the house. He was very kind, personal, and professional. I would absolutely use Mirowski again.

I couldn't have asked for a better experience with Mirowski. From the beginning, the office staff was very good about replying to my e-mails quickly, even at night. They were able to provide prices for each inspection before the inspectors came out. The price breakdown is:
Home inspection: $370
Termite inspection: $40
Radon inspection: $130
'Paid in full discount': $-20 (because we paid before the inspection)
Total charge: $520
We actually had two inspectors come out and take care of things for us. From the beginning, both Steve and Mark were very personable. They introduced themselves to both my wife and I (the buyers) and the sellers and then explained what they were going to do and told us to ask any questions we wanted. The guys then went around the inside and outside of the house to do a first pass. After that, they took all of us (buyers and sellers) around each room of the house and all around the outside and pointed out things that needed to be fixed and things the sellers had done well. Steve was also great about showing us things that weren't technically wrong, but that a child could get hurt on, or things of a similar nature.
Within 48 hours after the inspection we had our reports. The termite and radon inspection reports were fairly standard, but the home inspection report was nearly 40 pages and included lots of pictures and explanations - everything they had talked to us about during the inspection; there were no extra surprises.
Originally we had asked Mirowski to also do our well and septic inspections, but they were unable to do so. Instead, they recommended another inspection who turned out to be just as great as they were.
Overall, the folks at Mirowski know what they're doing and are worth every penny you pay to have them come out. I checked their other reviews on Angie's List before contacting them and everyone had overwhelmingly positive things to say, and now I know why. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Mirowski to anyone in the greater Springfield area (the property we had inspected was about 30 minutes from the center of Springfield) and we will certainly use them again for our next home purchase in the area!

I set up the inspection online. I knew I wanted Steve to do the inspection (based on a verbal recommendation) and I was able to schedule his earliest available time. The process online was great. I recommend it. There are a number of questions that need to be answered, and I was able to look at it online and not have to answer all of the necessary questions in a phone call.
I came to the house for the first part of the inspection. The homeowner was there as well and Steve talked to us about what his plans were, what he would and wouldn't cover and just the basics of a home inspection. Steve showed us how to work electrical and plumbing things around the house. He also offered a number of suggestions to save money both long and short term.
The report he provided was extensive. It included photographs of each item that was mentioned along with an explanation of each deficit and how to remediate each. Most important deficits were written in red, important things in blue and a minimally important things in black. This made it easy to see what really needed to be done right away. After I received the report, Steve was easily available to answer questions. I felt that he was on my side and working for me even after the inspection work was complete.

This was the first home I purchased and Mirowski did a great job making me feel good about the purchase. They were on time which is huge being prior military, very professional, and thorough. I would recommend them to anyone.

Mark, the inspector, was extremely thorough and very courteous. We received comments from both the seller and our real estate agent concerning the professionalism of the inspector. The inspection report was extremely detailed with not only those items that needed to be repaired, but also items that the inspector recommended. All the parties were extremely pleased with the service provided. We would highly recommend Mirowski Inspections.

We hired Mirowski Inspections to do a home inspection on a 6000 sqft home we were purchasing. Although they're a bit more expensive than other companies (approximately $1,000 for a complete inspection including radon and infrared) it was well worth it. The owner, Steve, did an awesome job and answered all of our questions. He showed up on time, did everything he said he would, and gave us a complete report when he said he'd have it to us.

They were able to arrange to complete the inspection in 4 days, which was important because I only had 10 days total. Steve was very very thorough. I had not asked about radon but he suggested it due to the location of the home. I was able to add that service too. Reports were complete in 2 days. payment was very easy to arrange as well.

The inspection went well. I did not attend the whole inspection, but his report was very thorough with many digital pictures to document his findings. I did meet with the inspector and he appeared to be competent and professional. Overall very happy with using this contractor.

This was the first inspection I've had, since this house would be my first home purchase, and it was a very informative and pleasant experience. During the walk through, I was shown all the positive and negative aspects of the house, and was even given many great suggestions about repairs or remodels that weren't necessary, but were recommended to enhance the home's safety and functionality. The material defects were also made very clear and any questions I had were answered in ways I could easily understand without extensive knowledge of the issues. I received the inspection report quickly the next morning, which was easy to read and contained no new information that I wasn't informed of during the inspection. For someone who has never gone through a home inspection before, I was very pleased with how Mirowski Inspections took their time with the home, explained everything to me, and were just generally pleasant people who seemed to enjoy their careers. I definitely recommend this company to anyone buying a new home.

Steve is always punctual and respectful of your time. you will have your professional written report within 24 hours. The report will actually include pictures of any problems that are noted in the report.

Steve arrived on time and did a fantastic job. He was very helpful and answered all of our many questions. We even called him later for his recommendation on some service work we wanted to get done. He was great to work with and we highly recommend him.
