Went well , they worked me in and performed the work for the price in their estimate prior to work being done. The repairs were satisfactory and. Done in a timely matter.

I took my Suburban to Walmart to have my tires rotated and balanced. Walmart refused to rotate my tires because they said my tires were "choppy" and that I probably had an alignment issue and/or suspension issues, and that I needed new tires. My tires were only 13 months old and I didn’t see the point of putting on new tires until I figured out what was causing the “choppiness,” so I called Midas on St. Louis Street. They said that their lift was down, but the store on Battlefield and National could get me in. I scheduled an appointment for the next day which was a Saturday at 8am for an alignment and to see what else I might need to fix my problem. I arrived about 8:05 and they took me right in and were very friendly even though I was 5 minutes late. I told them what I was there for and they said why don't we look at it before we do an alignment. They said they would hate for me to pay for something I didn't need. They told me to have a seat and that they just brewed some fresh coffee so help myself. Within 15 minutes, they came back in and said my alignment was perfect, but that my shocks were leaking and then they explained to me how shocks work. I asked them how much for new shocks and he said that he would have to look it up based on vehicle type. He came back with a quote and I approved the repair. He told me it would take about 2 hours. It was 8:30, so I sat down with my book to wait. I was done in 1 hour. I asked them if my tires were going to blow out or if I could wait to get new tires (I didn't have the money for both new shocks and new tires), and the tech said that it would be a little bumpy, but that my tires should wear back down evenly, and that I didn't need new tires at this time. The shop was very clean and the staff very friendly. From now on, I will try them first when anything comes up on my Suburban before heading over to the dealership.

On Thursday's they have ladies day and they do oil changes for $19.99 which is cheaper than most places. They only use Shell oil and they will also check out other things on your car with the oil change, like your tires. They have several mechanics so they are usually able to get to your car quickly.
