(08/04/2014)Monday: Called Gray to see when they could get someone out.
A technician came out same day, said the charge was too high on my AC and pulled almost 1lb of R22 out of the AC. AC working!
(08/05/2014)Tuesday: Light on the thermostat was out and AC not working again. Called Gray again and they sent someone out to check it out. Replaced a fuse- system up and running.
(08/06/2014(Wednesday: 11:30am AC stops working again. Call Gray a third time and the Service Tech Manager comes out. He was there 15 minutes and tells me that the AC system is mismatched and needs to be completely replaced to the tune of $2100 to $3100 depending on options.
(08/07/2014)Thursday: A different HVAC company services the AC since I want a second opinion before I spend $3000. They replace the contactor/relay in the outside unit. AC has been working perfect ever since.
I would not use Gray or recommend them to anyone.
"I am sorry that you had a poor experience. We did credit your account so you did not pay anything so your actual cost was ZERO. We have replaced some personnel and increase our training of our employees so that they can better perform service. We do strive for complete customer satisfaction and go over and beyond to make that happen. Again I apologize that your experience was anything but stellar. But we have made changes to correct things so that no one else will have that happen. I am glad you found a company to help you."
Gray's Heating & Cooling are really good. I've been using them different times through the years. I used them a long time before even my husband got your service. They are very nice. He came out here late at night and did it though it was cold. That's the guy that works for him, Cody. They took care of the furnace and didn't have any troubles.
It was a reasonable price for coming out, because he came out here between 10:00 and 11:00 at night. They were very responsive. I would recommend them to everybody, they did a good job.

turned within 10 minutes! The serviceman was on another job and said he was finishing and could be at my home in approximately 20 minutes. He explained on the phone that a service call was more per hour on weekends and holidays, which I appreciated. He arrived promptly and checked the unit...found that a fuse outside was blown. He replaced it. I then asked him to look at my furnace at something I thought might be a problem (it wasn't). He looked it over and made recommendations. He was very professional and personable. The charge for the fuse was only $2.00 and the total service call was $99.50. I had this company check my A/C and furnace when I purchased the house a couple of years ago and received the same prompt, professional service then. I would definitely recommend this company!
