They not only do a good job, but you can sign up for them to come out twice a year and do a cleaning and tune up on your system.

Technician arrived precisely when stated; clearly explained the problem and quickly resolved it. I am very pleased with the company and will continue using their services (as we have for a few years now). Goff is heads above any other HVAC service we have ever used in professionalism and quality of service.

The service guy was very courteous and let us know in detail what he would be cleaning and checking. Our two year old unit runs beautifully in the winter and summer. We have noticed a lowering of our CU heating and cooling bill.

I wasn't real pleased with them because I just had to have it fixed. It cost a lot of money to get the Freon replaced. They were not punctual at all. I didn't care for them at all. They missed the first and second appointments. When they did come, they were not very personable. I didn't feel like I could trust whether or not they did the work they said they were going to do. They charged me for extra things that I didn't plan on purchasing. They had to put more Freon in and now this year I'm having to put more Freon in. I don't know if they didn't detect a leak or what because it has hardly been used since they worked on it. It was not a good experience.
Response from Goff Heating & Air Conditioning
"We are very sorry you had such an unpleasant experience, however the only time Goff Heating & Air Conditioning was at your home was July 19, 2011. At that time we performed a FREE AC tune-up through Living Social. Our company policy is that we do not do any work or install any parts without the customer's prior approval. We believe you are confusing us with another company. There is another company with a similar name that people confuse us with. We are in no way connected with that company. If we can help you in any way or answer any questions for you, please don't hesitate to call our office at 417-869-5203."

They come out every year to do a tune up and inspection. They always show up when they say they will. I would give them an A rating but am not sure if will use them again since they have not called me for my appointment. I think its about time for my tune up and inspection and I hope they hold up their end of the bargain.

Using a Groupon, we hired Goff for a routine seasonal tune up on our air conditioner. Several minutes into the job, he repeatedly moved between the thermostat and the furnace unit. It seemed like he couldn’t get the unit to turn on. Finally, he asked where the breaker box was and found that he had tripped a breaker. During the tune up, the tech mentioned several times that he was new – only several weeks out of school. He finished up the call after about an hour and a half, and made a comment about the induction motor running when it shouldn’t. We responded that it’s been doing that for several years, but it doesn’t seem to be affecting the performance. He again mentioned he was new and would talk to his supervisor.

About a week later, our A/C stopped running. My husband checked the furnace unit and noticed a lot of condensation everywhere. Water was dripping from the unit and the pipes. The A/C unit outside had ice on the pipes. Called the service number for Goff and was told they would come the next day. The same tech showed up around 9 am the following morning. Shortly after he started, a fan kicked on (not sure if it was the blower or induction motor), and he showed us a burned spot on the circuit board. The tech told us it would have to be replaced, but he could wire it up to route past the board and the blower would run to keep us cool until he could replace the circuit board the next day. A few minutes later, we heard a pop and saw a blue flash from down the hall. Then, the tech ran outside and made a call on his cell phone. His supervisor arrived a few minutes later. They spent some time looking at the until and removing the blower motor, then informed me that (surprise!) now the blower motor was bad and they couldn’t rewire it. They informed us that it would be at least $500 for a blower motor (rebuilt, not new) and at least $500 for a circuit board. No estimates were provided in writing at any point. We asked if the tech caused the issue with the blower motor and the supervisor responded in the negative. He acted extremely defensive and told us that we would have a great deal of trouble finding someone else who could fix our furnace.

We called another company based on recommendations. They spent the time to show us the issues with the furnace and explain what they were doing at each step. They provided a written estimate and worked well into the night to fix the issues. After looking at our furnace, they confirmed that the first tech hardwired the circuit board and blew the blower motor.

Read the reviews on the Better Business Bureau about Goff and how the company responds. They are defensive, angry and incredibly unprofessional. Do your homework before hiring a company - I wish we did. This incident cost us quite a bit of money in the end.
Response from Goff Heating & Air Conditioning
"As a locally owned and operated company, we at Goff Heating & Air Conditioning take great pride in growing our business each day. We are very pleased to have each and every customer we have and even more thankful for the high caliber of employees we have. It is a true fact that every once in a while that a mistake can be made. We are no different and know that when something goes wrong, it is very important to us as a company that we do our very best to make it right. There are two sides to every situation and it is the common truth that people love to complain when they are unhappy and not often enough give thanks when they are pleased. If every one of our satisfied customers responded on the internet, it would be difficult for you to ever see a bad response for our satisfied customers are the proof that we are still in business today and will continue to be in business for a very long time. Our door is open and we are always willing to make sure our customers are satisfied. For those who don't want to allow us the opportunity to make a wrong a right, we appoligize and hope your are never wrong."

Due to the size of the project I sought several bids. Goff's bid was the lowest and in my opinion the best approach. Although it took somewhat longer than expected the project moved forward smoothly and very successfully. The new HVAC system works extremely well. It is quiet, very efficient and keeps the building at just the right temperature throughout. In the past we have always had trouble balancing the air flow. Goff design solved all those problems. I would definitely recomment them to anyone.
