"Glad we were able to help you [Member Name Removed]. We appreciate your business! Sincerely, Kyle kryger"
I asked my insurance agent how to proceed. I believe this was Carsten's error and they should rectify the windshield damage. I do not believe this warrants my making a claim to my insurance company.
My insurance agent called Carsten and was told that it wasn't Carsten was not at fault. He said probably my son had deliberately pulled the mirror off to get a new windshield out of it and furthermore, they were not going to replace the windshield and if I or the insurance company had a problem with this, we could sue them.
My son pulling a rear view mirror off so he could get a new windshield out of it? Who would ever think of doing such a thing? I wonder if the Carsten's guy knew more about this than meets the eye. I've begun to wonder if they damaged the windshield when they re-attached the mirror and they sent my son to drive with an impending dangerous situation while Carsten's crossed their fingers hoping all might be well.
