Description of Work: They trimmed a large sycamore tree so the branches no longer touched the house and so they didn't hang over the neighbor's driveway. They inspected the tree and our other trees to determine whether they were healthy and whether we should keep or remove them. They favored keeping them all.

Description of Work: I had A about trees remove 2 barberry bushes at the front of the house, 1 Rose of sharon bush at the rear corner of the house, and a Flowering crabapple tree in the backyard that was dead. They also trimmed a large Gumball tree in the backyard. All of the stumps were ground down. All about trees was punctual, professional, thorough and they provided me with a wealth of information about my shrubs and trees. Their office contact was a pleasure to work with. I will definitely use them again if needed.

Description of Work: They did pruning on several of my trees and 1 shrub. I had to call them back a few months later to again raise a few branches away from my roof; they responded well to that request. |This work was done a little over a year ago. I seem to recall that they started pruning a few minutes before I got home to watch, and they cut a couple of limbs I hadn't wanted cut. But that didn't amount to being a big deal for me, as far as the appearance of the tree was concerned. |I had asked them to cut dead wood off a poplar tree, and they missed several dead branches despite me furnishing them with photos showing the branches during the summer, when dead ones could be distinguished from live ones. Because of that, I used a different company for pruning the next year(i.e., the next winter). But normally I've found this company to be one of the better tree-trimming companies.

 + -1 moreWe had originally planned to have the bottom limbs removed so they did not touch the house. After discussing this with Noel, however, he said that they could come out every year and do that, but the tree was right on the house, and if it fell, it was going to do a lot of damage. It was such a beautiful tree, but I finally asked him what he would do if it were in front of his house (it was here when we bought this house), and he very reluctantly said he would have to remove it. I felt bad for him because he looked like he felt guilty for killing the tree! The work was done while I was at work and when I got home all there was left was the stump, very close to the ground, and no mess or damage in the yard, or to my roof. We chose not to have the stump ground because it was dead center over the gas line, and the utility company was not sure how deep the line was.I was very pleased with the work, and with Noel's obvious distaste for killing such a beautiful tree but we really had no choice. Once again we were treated wonderfully and were very impressed by the crew and the results.
Description of Work: Removal of a very large Norway Spruce tree whose trunk was only about 2 feet from the front corner of our house, and whose bottom limbs were on top of the roof. The tree was right over our gas line.

 + -1 moreI I could not have been more pleased with the way All About trees handled everything from the estimate to the end of the job. Noel was completely candid about the danger of the limbs in the power lines, and about the work we wanted done on the trees. There was a lot of damage from the two ice storms in Springfield, so we had a lot of hanging, dead branches and rough edged limbs where they broke and left jagged ends.The estimate was not only competitive, it was the best because the other companies wanted to bring in equipment that would damage the yard. Noel and his crew are climbers (no spikes) and did everything using safety belts, and ropes to control the branches they were cutting. They didn't drop anything on our garden areas or on our mini storage barn, which is right under one of the trees. I was amazed watching them. They also answered all my questions about what they were doing, and why. One of the things I learned about All About Trees is that they love trees, and treated ours as if they were their own. There were at least 3 or more crew members on the job every day, and it was a very good experience for us. Thank you, Noel!
Description of Work: We have 3 very large Black Walnut Trees in our back yard, and they had not been maintained by the previous owner. Noel and his staff of arborists got the utility company out here to get the limbs out of the lines. The crew from All About Trees supervised everything, keeping the utility workers from using spikes to climb. Then Noel and his crew did the hardest part - trimming dead limbs, cutting out the overgrowth and leaving the trees beautiful. They left my yard looking like no one had even been there, cleaning up everything and even raking the smallest twigs and leaves away. It was so much work it took 3 days to finish in the freezing cold. There were dozens of dead branches removed perfectly, and they took all safety precautions for themselves and our trees. They showed up when the said they would, and kept us advised of everything they were doing.

 + -1 moreThey were doing the work at my neighbor's place, so that's how I found them. They cleaned up all the mess. They did what they were supposed to do. They were very professional. They are the only one I have used. They cleaned up every little piece of wood that they could find in the grass. They made sure that it was cleaned and things were put back as they were supposed to be. I didn't ask for any better service. The price was good.

 + -1 moreI think they were really good in letting me when they were going to come out and how long it would take. They were the only tree company that I dealt with so I don't have anything to compare with, but I would recommend them and I would use them again in the future.
Description of Work: I used All about trees to take down a couple of trees. They took away the brush. They cut up the larger pieces, so that I could cut them into firewood. They grounded out the stumps and then they also pruned and trimmed another tree, since it was was getting high.

 + -1 moreThey clean up their messes, leave things well done, are extremely professional and know what they are doing. I have lost trees when they were planted by other companies or trimmed by them. Since I found them, I always call them first when planting or taking out trees. I have used them for different services for the past 5 years or so
Description of Work: When looking for a tree service - ALWAYS CONSIDER ALL ABOUT TREES I had Noel come out and give me some ideas on what to plant between our home and the next to give us some privacy. He made some great recommendations and planted the trees, removed some other trees that had died and planted a few others in my backyard. I had him shape and trim the trees in my front yard at that time. (2010) This past year, I lost a couple of blue spruces in my front yard, he again, gave the lowest bid. He removed them and ground out the stumps. I called their office later when a large limb was blown down, I didn't even see them come take it away.

He is interested in taking care of the trees. You can tell that he is committed to his work. He knows what he doing and has got good people working for him.
