HIXSON-KLEIN FUNERAL HOME

My husband passed away unexpectedly and I had no idea what funeral home to call.  A pastor at the hospital suggested Hixson-Klein since it was close to where I lived.  What a blessing this turned out to be.  From the first contact, they were professional and truly emphatic, although very down to earth.  I didn't get the "polished, suave, oily" practiced feeling I usually get when I've dealt with funeral homes.  This was a true small town, family owned and operated business.  You could tell that they really do care.  They arranged everything with the donor organization, and called to ensure I knew every action they took.  Even though I requested a cremation, they called and helped me realized I needed to let his mom see him to say goodbye first.  The paperwork was minimal, and quickly done.  The first day they received  the body back from the donor org, I received a call from Mr. Klein.  He had personally gone to the Doctor's office and then the county courthouse to get it taken care of the same day, and then delivered them to my house.  Each step of the way, this family was there and easing the way during this difficult time.  
After the insurance came in, I paid the bill in full.  Mr. Klein called to make sure I hadn't paid so soon that I put myself in financial difficulty before he would cash the check.  Even after I paid the bill, he later called and worked with me to ensure my husband got the veterans plaque that he was entitled to.  
I can't say enough good things about their service, and recommend them to everyone I know.
