I feel it is an urgent message to inform you of the following...We hired L.W. Smith Builders to do the construction of our facility and for the third time has chosen to abandon our project as of Monday the 24th, 2013 of June...Larry Smith is the man who owns the company and I need everyone to pass this message to as many people in Central Missouri as possible. He was paid in full for all materials, and had one small payment left for the labor to be paid at the completion of the project. He has to this date not paid any of the subcontractors for the contracts they agreed to under L.W. Smith Builders and the horrific part is that we have already paid him for the contracts in full for the work that has been not yet been done. So in short he has walked with thousands of dollars in labor, and more in materials as I stated all monies have been paid. He has missed multiple agreed completion dates and we have bent over backwards to help him get this project done....As if this was not enough, yesterday and anonymous phone call was received from my partner on their cell phone while I was sitting next to her, threatening to leave L.W. Smith builders alone and let sleeping dogs lie, or she would be harmed....We recognized the voice on the phone and have contacted detectives to pursue this threat...It takes a very small person to threaten a woman...Larry and his company are detrimental to all who associate themselves with him and his company....We need to put an end to this crooked way of doing business......Help put a stop to this Man and his company...

Home Building
Built entire home mainly with 2 workers. Worked about 6 hrs per day on average 3-4 days per week for 8 months on a 4 month project. Ran out of money and walked off the job several times. Tried to charge more money even though we had a written contract. Cut lots of corners in the end when he spent all the draws. Workshop was supposed to be built first ended up being last item done.If you hire this builder do not pay for more than 1 weeks work and materials at a time. He cannot manage money or his employees. I believe his employees could do good work if he provided them with the right materials and supplies to do the job. Contractor spent majority of his time traveling to and from lumber yard since he hardly ever had materials delivered for his workers to build with. Contractor did not pay for all supplies and equipment I have business trying to put leans on my home due to his bad checks..This was the worst experience ever!!
