We purchased the house 5/29/2020. He was hired beginning of March by previous owners for 2 bathroom remodels. During those almost 3 full months he was slow to work and get things done in a timely manner. Some of the finished product appeared to be rather sloppy. When we moved in on 5/29/2020 the previous owners had already paid him with a verbal agreement that the work would be completed within the next week. The master bathroom needed the shower installed and then the work would be completed. As of June 18 the door still had not arrived. June 24 same story. June 30 we had still not heard anything back from him. I called Lowe’s where the door was ordered from and they had no record of the door or any order. They did have the door in their store. The last time it was delivered to the store was May 1. July 1 is when the shower was installed. We were told he had to go get a few small things but that we could use the shower and he’d be back later that day to finish it. He never showed. The shower had not been sealed at all. He did come back to seal it around July 7/8. It was not sealed properly. He was supposed to be back July 15 at 2pm and never showed and then July 16 and never showed. Any communications were started from either my husband or I. Sometimes we’d get a text back and sometimes we wouldn’t. At the end we were ghosted so we ended up calling around to some local handyman’s for input and finished the job ourselves. The work came with a 1 year warranty. We had a few things we had noticed since moving in like a small leak in the back of the toilet that he was supposed to fix and never did. Because the previous owners hired and paid him, we did not have to. I’d rather hire someone else to fix any of his work over the next year than call him back under his warranty.
