MY husband and I needed a rental home and we went to look at some and we were told that the homes are all professionally cleaned...once we picked a house and signed lease we went to move in and house was filthy. Even had food in microwave and every appliance was dirty. When I called she told me my standards were to high and the house had already been inspected and there was nothing they could do. I spend 3 days cleaning just so could unpack our boxes. We are now locked into a year lease which states we have to leave house in condition we got it in. Which we know that will not happen, we will probably be out $2,350. DON'T NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY!!! The property manger is rude and seemed overwhelmed the whole process not to mention never resolved any of our concerns or even called us back. We told pictures and videos so when the time comes to move out we will get deposit back. They should owe me for cleaning the nasty house they are renting me

We hired Century 21 Prestige as a property manager and they moved tenants in in August of 2007. In the contract we signed with Century 21, it stated that a security deposit of $1195 and a non refundable pet fee of $250 would be collected prior to tenants moving in. We started receiving monthly rent from the tenants and had no problems for several months. However, in December, their check bounced and then they started routinely paying their rent late. In January, 2008, we found out that Century 21 had never collected the security deposit or pet fee. They eventually collected the security deposit, but never collected the pet fee. In August, 2008, the tenants moved out, owing us one month's rent and the cost to repair the damages they inflicted on our house. Century 21 told the tenants that they owed us money and are doing nothing more to collect the money owed us. They are also not taking responsibility for the pet fee that was never collected. I called and spoke with the owner, Les Mironuck and told him that since Century 21 contractually agreed to collect that money before tenants moved in, but never did, they owe me that money because they did not hold up their end of the contract. He told me that he would not pay me that money, just like he would not pay me the rent the tenants owed me. I explained to him that Century 21 had full authority to never allow the tenants to move in if they didn't pay the required deposit and fees and they promised to collect that money, so they should pay us. He refused to do this. I also asked for a copy of the credit report that was run on the tenants prior to them moving in. I was told by the property manager that it was illegal for them to give me a copy of the credit report. After doing research, I found out that this was not true. I again asked for this information and they refused to let me see it without a subpoena. Since the security deposit and pet fee were not collected before move in and the tenants started having problems paying their rent shortly after moving in, I am questioning whether a credit check was ever run on them at all. I had a horrible experience with Century 21 Prestige. They did not hold up their end of the contract by a) taking reasonable steps to collect money owed us, and b) not collecting the security deposit and pet fee before tenants moved in. Beyond this, both the property manager, Doliena Brotherton and the owner, Les Mironuck were very rude to me. I would not recommend this company at all. Avoid them at all costs.
Description of Work: Advertised our house for rent, accepted applications and moved tenants in. Collected rent from the tenants and sent handyman in for repairs, as well as scheduled services to be performed on our house.
