Auto Service
The provider overfilled the engine oil during the oil change. This action resulted in damage to our car. The store manager and the area general manager refuse to accept blame for the incident.
After the oil change an abnormal exhaust was noticed coming from our vehicle. The vehicle was returned to Jiffy Lube within 2 min. of leaving the premises. Jiffy Lube had a mechanic visually inspect the engine. This mechanic concluded that the problem was with our head gasket. Our vehicle was towed to another mechanic. .Upon inspection this mechanic noticed the oil reservoir had too much oil in it. The mechanic drained 3-4 quarts of excess oil from our engine.
Upon notification the store manager and the general manager refused responsibility. Though the general manager agreed to refund the cost of our service and the cost of the repair. After not receiving a check, we phoned the general manager who informed us he would not reimburse the cost of the repair unless we signed a waiver releasing Jiffy Lube of all future complications. The general manager said nothing about a waiver in the initial conversation. There are still a few things that can go wrong with our engine as a result of Jiffy Lube's irresponsibility, so we will not sign the waiver. Jiffy Lube has stated that they will not reimburse the cost of the repairs without this waiver.
