5 Stars Granite added on additional fees AFTER the countertops were installed. They asked us to pay 50% upfront and 50% upon completion. Please know that the $24.95 per sq. ft. installed advertised actually comes to almost double that when they add additional and unexpected fees at the end.

The granite looks great. The installers forgot to bring my sink grate, however, I was able to go and pick it up. There was a discrepancy on the amount to be charged but it was corrected.

Very reasonable, punctual and experienced.  Good selection of granite.  The only downside is that you need to get a plumber to get the faucets reattached.  I strongly recommend them.

The installation went as planned.  The installers were very thorough, courteous and professional.  They completed the installation on-time.  Quality of the product itself (granite) was very good and exactly what was ordered.  I would recommend them - especially based on price, quality of product and workmanship.

I got excellent service from 5 Stars Granite and I love my new granite countertop. It is a beautiful stone.
I also felt like I got a good price. The top of the one inch ledge next to my wall looked a little bit unfinished, less glossy than the rest of the stone and they do not grout it to the wall. I had to do that myself. There were a few tiny chips in the granite, by the sink cut-out and on a corner, but when I called them about it, they came out and fixed those and were very nice about it. 5 Stars Granite is a family owned business from the president to the experienced installers and I feel they take pride in their products and service.
They seemed eager to make sure that I was a satisfied customer.

They provided an excellent product for a competitive price.  They were punctual to measure job and perform the installation.  We required a callback to complete the installation and they were on time for this as well, completing the job to our satisfaction.

Our primary contact was Jessica, and her efforts were the deciding factor in choosing their company.  She was patient, knowledgeable and had great follow-up.

If I could offer one suggestion to the company that would totally complete their installation, it would be for the installers to caulk / seal the countertop to the surrounding walls.  Considering that most homeowners are not skilled at finite caulking, especially with pure silicone caulk, this job can be tricky and mandate a lot of touch-up painting.  Perhaps the company could either offer this service as an option or increase the overall cost by a bit to cover this activity.

I went into the store and talked with Jessica about what I was looking for. She was very friendly and polite, and seemed to know what she was talking about. I told her what our budget was and she showed me the granite that I could choose from. I was thrilled to find out that the decorative edging and the undermount sink were free! I had mentioned we had no countertops currently because we were in the middle of a complete kitchen remodel and she was kind enough to call the supplier to make sure they had the granite slab I wanted, and was able to fit me in the following week! She went above and beyond :) I put half down and was on my way. Today was my install date and the two gentlemen were on time and fast...took them about an hour and a half from start to finish. Very kind and professional as well. This experience was something I thought was going to be a total pain, but it turned out to be a pleasure, and I'm SO HAPPY with the end result! I would highly recommend, and I've already told people where they need to go for countertops. Thanks again! :)

I'm not that happy with those guys. They're not as professional. I don't think they did as quality a job. They didn't seal all the way around the whole bottom of the granite when they installed it. They came out twice to measure. They came to look at the kitchen and then they came back and we measured one more time and then the day before they came they said, "Oh! Well we have to up the price" and I'm like, "No, you don't because I'm not paying it" I'm not jumping on-board that one. I would not recommend them. They were unprofessional. The girl at the service counter was snippy with me the whole time. They were very shady on their cost and prices. They told me the first granite I picked out didn't meet their sale price or it was too high and would cost three times more than they advertised. So I went out and I picked out a different granite which even the lady at the showroom told me was cheaper. She goes, "Oh! This one is not expensive but it's very pretty" and I said, "Well, good thanks. I like it too" and it turns out they ended up trying to charge me more for that which I knew was cheaper. You keep your eye on them. I mean, you watch them a whole bunch and you'll be fine but I'm not that thrilled with what I got from them, no. They said, "Oh! Well, we're not going to charge you taxes" and I'm go, "How can you not charge me taxes?" which I figured out as to why but they charge you, they just don't tell you they're putting it there. I don't think the granite counter tops they put in are falling apart. Well, they haven't yet. They were cheaper than the other people I compared to. They were there on time. The lady at the office was terrible. She called me up like a week before they were supposed to install it and said, "Now, what kind of granite were you getting and where did you pick it out at?" and I'm like, "What the hell? It's on the order." There is a big tag at the warehouse with my name on it.

Five Stars Granite offered a quality product at a great price. The price included removal of the old counter top and a new sink. Their service was professional and friendly; installation was quick. I gave a B for responsiveness because after our in-home consultation I called to schedule the installation and left a message, my call was not returned. I had to call back after a couple days. Overall, excellent service. I will definitely use them again in the future.

We had to have Five Stars come back and touch-up a couple of spots on the granite. They did this promptly and professionally.

We are very happy with their service and our granite counter tops!

On the day of installation, the two workers arrived on time and worked quickly. I was very pleased with the accuracy of the cut they had to do on one piece- the seam is almost invisible. They caulked around the inside of the under mounted sink and under all of the counter edges. I was impressed with how hard they worked to make sure the counters were completely leveled. They had to move the fridge and stove to install the counters, and they were very careful to protect the floor with rugs and blankets. They cleaned the mess they made and took the old counters. They also gave me great tips for sealing and keeping the counters cleaned and protected. I was very pleased with the knowledge and skill of the installers. I did have some trouble (like other reviewers) with being called back after asking questions or being called to set up appointments for measurements or installation, and the worker who came to do measurements was almost 2 hours late (our appointment window was from 1 to 3pm, and he didn't arrive until 4:45pm... I think he forgot about us until we called at 3:30). Aside from those little inconveniences, the prices are cheaper than anywhere else in the city, and you get so many extras included that the other companies don't offer (a higher quality sink, window sill, nicer edging detail). I will definitely use them again if I ever move! For reference, we had about 32 square feet of counters and chose one of the most inexpensive colors available.

I liked the fact that they were going to make us happy. They would do whatever they have to do to get the job done at the end. They were persistent but, I didn't like that they took multiple times to come back to get it right. I've got to give them credit for being persistent but if people want to know upfront what they are paying for, I would say no to Five Stars Granite. They will be the cheapest, but you get what you pay for. In terms of their punctuality, they came the day they said they would come.

I did extensive research and got estimates from 6 companies and 5-Star Granite beat them all. The personnel from the receptionist to the owner to the installers were all professional, friendly, eager to please, knowledgeable, and NOT PUSHY. When I asked if they had a sample I could take home, I was able to pick it out from the "scraps" they had and there was NO CHARGE. There was also no charge for the estimate and the measurements were perfect. When the installers came to install it, they were on time, courteous, friendly, and clean. Unfortunately for me, the faucets I picked out were a different type and brand from the ones we originally had in the bathroom, and I did not have all the parts they needed so I had to call a plumber to finish the hook ups, BUT I was credited the entire amount they were going to charge for the hook ups. I do not consider this their issue but mine, and they rectified the circumstances immediately via a credit.I have plans to remodel our kitchen in the future and will definitely use 5-Star Granite again for the countertops. This is a small company competing against the "big box stores", and I definitely prefer their price, product, professionalism, and desire to please the customer.

We stopped at 5 STARS GRANITE first in our search for new granite countertops. Samir gave us a price which I first thought was a mistake. At the next store, the price for the identical work and exact granite slab was exactly double. Our third stop was even more for the work he quoted. When I went back to be sure that he had quoted the correct amount I found the same price as the first quote. The price included his coming to the home and taking measurements -- something that the other companies charged for. It also included the free undercounter stainless steel sink. There was no additional charge for tearing out the old countertop. The work was done by two gentlemen and completed properly. There was one minor issue with alignment but that was taken care of within 48 hours of us indicating the problem to the company. If you are looking for granite countertops - check several others and then contact 5 Stars. You will not be sorry.
