Took our 2001 Chevrolet Impala to Christian Brothers for Missouri State inspection. Having moved from a state that does not require vehicle inspections we were not clear on what was going to be required and needed to bring the car up to standards to pass the required inspections. We had taken the vehicle to several mechanics prior to our move and after many attempts and dollars spent, were no further along in identifying and correcting the problem.  Used Angie's list to locate a repair shop and found Christian Brothers. We called Christian Brothers and explained our situation, then decided to give them a try after reading several positive reviews. 
The Impala had an oil leak, check engine light, and an electrical short causing the battery to die within 24-36 hours. The mechanic at Christian Brothers inspected the car and gave us a detailed list of all items that needed repaired. They told us what had to be fixed to pass inspection and what additional repairs needed to bring the car up to a reliable car for my son to drive. We decided to have all the repairs done, although it was going to be expensive but we wanted a safe reliable car. Christian Brothers replaced the rocker arm cover gaskets fixing the oil leak, replaced the leaky intake gasket, repaired a broken/charred wiring harness that solved the battery dying and check engine light, and replaced tie rod ends, and replaced (no charge) fuel regulator. 
It has been 5 months since the repairs and the car has given us zero problems. We could not be happier with the quality of work performed at Christian Brothers.  They are thorough, reliable and stand by their word.  We are planning to use them on the Dodge truck in the near future.

I wasn't there for a major service but I was still greeted by Bobby, the owner, and treated like we new each other for years. They offered me a free beverage and got my car in and out in under 20 min. I came here b/c the place across from the DMV said it would be 2 hours for an emissions test and I couldn't wait that long. I am so happy that I stopped in and this will be the new place for all my vehicle needs.

I have been taking my van in for oil changes since the day they opened a few years ago.  I went in hoping to find a place that respected women and would not charge me for something I didn't need done.  That is exactly what I found.  The owner, Bobby Balchus, treats everyone with respect. He will tell me what the next big repair should be based on the mileage and an approximate cost, so that I can set money aside and be ready for the repair. We just bought a car for our teenage daughter and I know that I can trust Christian Brothers to take care of her car when she takes it in for oil changes and repairs too.

It actually was not a very good experience. A week later it started sputtering and so I took it back and they told me that the crank shaft sensor had malfunctioned. When I looked at it, fluid had spilled on it and burned it up. They told me it was going to be another $3000 on top of the $2000 that I had already paid them to make the car safe. I took it somewhere else and they repaired it for about $200. I will not be going back there. The price was fair. They did not own up to it. They were professional.

The owner, Bobby Balchus, was very courteous and professional.  He went through all of the items that they tested and was honest about his opinion of this vehicle.  I have never used their services before this day but would happily bring our cars there in the future.  The office was clean and was a great place to wait if you have to.  Very impressed!

They provided wonderful service and punctuality. They took me to a local restaurant while I waited for the repairs to finish, called me when the repairs were complete and picked me up shortly thereafter. The owner was very kind and gave me a coupon for my wait.

Although they seem to have gotten the brake issue repaired, still yet to be seen if it holds up.  Apparently it was a contact that needed cleaning yet they charged me for a new bulb that was just replaced as well as $8 for a fuse.  I had a pack of them sitting in the car I had just bought for $3.  I asked for an oil change as well and they said it would be no problem to have it done by the time I picked it up at 5.  I showed up around 5:15 and the car is still up in the garage.  When I finally get settled and in the car, I have a new larger problem where the car sometimes dies at idle.

I stopped on my drive to the gym to see about making an appointment to fix my brakes. They offered to take me to the gym so I could workout while my car was under repair. Then, they picked me up after and took me back to my finished car. I couldn't believe how easy it is was to accomplish two task at once. Unbelievably GREAT customer care!
I've been here before for service and have been completely satisfied but today's experience was amazing!!!

I have to say that they were great. I called and describe to them what was going on with my van, they said bring it on in and we'll get to it for tomorrow. This was late Monday afternoon while I was at work. I had an appointment with my normal shop that I use but they couldn't get to it until later in the week, I didn't want to wait that long since this problem I was having, has been going on for some time and was just afraid of something seriously might happen. I dropped the van off right before closing and they got it fixed the next day, also what I liked, they saw I was do for an oil change and they went ahead and  changed the oil out, I had an appointment to do  that  as well later in the week. They gave me this at no charge. Great place definitely will use them again.

I had originally taken my car to them to see if they could clean the buildup of oil off the underneath of the car.  I have a friend who is a retired mechanic who helped diagnose where the leak was (he doesn't repair oil leaks).  Once we had determined the origin of the leak, I called Christian Brothers and made an appointment.  I dropped my car off at 9 a.m. and they gave me a ride back home.  The repairs were completed and my car is no longer leaking oil.  My only issue is that it took all day to get my car back, because they apparently didn't start on it right away like I thought they were going to.  Everyone was very courteous and professional.  I will use them again in the future for any work my mechanic friend won't do.  The price was reasonable and they didn't charge me anything for the first visit when I was trying to determine where the leak was coming from.

The owner went beyond and he was awesome to work with. He really tried hard to fix it and really was an awesome person to work with. I would highly recommend them. I had heard good things about them and it was true. The price was fair.

My car needed some major work. I am very pleased with the service that was done. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. The price was more than fair for the amount of work that was done. They offer a Courtesy Shuttle which really came in handy. I would recommend Christian Brothers to anyone in need of automotive work. You can definitely trust them to give 110%! I parked on their large and walked inside.  After reviewing services to be performed, the owner offered me water or coffee while I waited.  The waiting area is extremely clean, with nice leather sofas and chairs.  They also offer wi-fi services for their customers.  As I paid for the services performed, I found the staff very professional and friendly.  They genuinely thanked me for my business.  They even offered me a discount they were offering to members of their local school.  (limited offer) When the car was ready, they pulled it up to the front door for me.
Appointments are preferred.  I will never sit in an oily smelling waiting room again.  I LOVE this place.

It went awesome.  The waiting room is nice and clean as well as the garage. 

I was not talked down to just because I was a woman (even though I don't know anything about cars).  They were professional and completed the repairs way before the time promised.

They opened up last summer and I started going to them. I like the owner. I went in and talked to him and felt comfortable working with him. I felt like he wouldn?t do things that didn't need to be done. His name was Bobby. I thought he wouldn?t cheat me. I think he is an honest businessman and will work with me to get things done. The price was fair. I will use him again in the future.
