Boardwalk Hardwood Floors

I purchased 1200 sq ft of hardwood flooring with additional staining of four flush mount register vents to match hardwood. Boardwalk did an exceptional job for this project. They are courteous and very professional, provide great customer service (Amanda) and would not hesitate to use or recommend them in the future.

The right hand did not seem to know what the left hand was doing! I ordered the flooring 6-months ahead of the scheduled start of a remodel to insure that the material would be delivered on time. This was important because the flooring was the first step in an extensive remodel project. On delivery day, the delivery men demanded full payment prior to any unloading of materials, which happened. As they completed the delivery, one of the men mentioned that only part of the ordered was delivered and that some of the base boards were back ordered and would be delivered "when they come in". In other words, he had just demanded payment something he did not deliver! I went back to the store on Manchester and talked to the salesman. He made some calls and told me he had no idea why this had happened and that he would straighten it out. He did this and the baseboards were delivered the following Monday. Fortunately, this did not stop the start of the remodel because the contractor was able to "work around" the base board issue. After the completion of the flooring installation, the installer informed me that Boardwalk had also shorted me one of the registers. It took almost a month to get this straighten out and I actually had to go to the store myself and pick up the register. I would never deal with this company again, even though the hardwood flooring they sold me was very nice.

We have visited probably all online and in-town stores searching for the right hardwood floors for the second level of our house. It is not that we are picky, but we knew what we wanted. We needed to get something in grey shade to match our decor, yet we had a budget. Since the grey shade in flooring is "In", most of the floors that we liked and matched our needs were way over our budget. When we were about to give up, we discovered Boardwalk Hardwood Floors store on Manchester. We found there a perfect solution for our quest. The floor that we found actually compliments our decor, matches hardwood on the main level, and all of it was under budget without any sacrifice in quality. Floors were promptly delivered on promised date and time. The delivery crew brought floors to the rooms where it would be installed for acclimation. Everything in our experience with Broadwalk flooring was perfect. This store is great and we will be back for all other flooring needs.

We went to several chain stores before coming across Boardwalk Hardwood Floors. They have a good selection of high quality and unique flooring materials, whereas the flooring at the chain stores all sort of looked the same after a while. The employees were helpful and friendly in answering our questions, and never once tried to push anything on us, and they actually seemed to encourage you to install the floor yourself rather than paying extra to have them do it. They offer a free installation class to paying customers, and you can rent the necessary tools directly from their store.
The average price of the various floors was probably a little bit higher than the average chain store, but considering the quality of Boardwalk's products, the prices were quite a bit lower than I was expecting. We happened to go into their store when they were having a big sale, which fortunately dropped the floor we wanted into our price range. We spent about $4,500 on 1,000 sq/ft of wood (after taxes), plus $50 for delivery. Considering that the boxes are very long and heavy and difficult to move, the $50 actually felt like a bargain.
We've been back into the store several times to rent tools, and they have always been helpful and friendly. I highly recommend visiting their store before making your final decision on a flooring purchase

They were very helpful in picking out the right floor for our home and it was delivered exactly when they said it would.? It made it so easy to make plans for the installer.? They also recommended a very good installer that was so professional and experienced.? We did not have one problem from start to finish.? We are so pleased and would highly recommend them to anyone.

Awesome company to work with! I went to their Watson Road location. They were extremely helpful from start to finish. They provide easy to follow instructions for refinishing and installation. On Saturday we were having a bit of trouble nailing the new flooring in to the existing hardwood, one quick call to their store and they had the answer within minutes. We needed to add a spline to the existing hardwood to make the connection. After that, everything went very smoothly. Their prices are very reasonable and the rental equipment is far better than the equipment rented at the big box hardware giants.

I don't know the price as it was a big project. I would definitely go back again if we are getting hardwood again. There were several projects going on at the same time. We were finishing our basement and things like that; so I don't remember. When we compared pricing it was very fair. We liked the fact that it was a small company and it felt like the treatment and customer service we got was great. The flooring was beautiful. I guess they have installers who work with them or installers they recommend. They also teach classes on how to install your own floor. It's more or less a place that we can go and pick up floor. They recommend different people who install it. This is how it was, unless they have changed now. I don't know if they offer installation now or not. If I could give more rating I would. I sent so many people there, and I would definitely go back again. You don't find a whole lot of companies that practice good customer service anymore.

Everything went extremely well from start to finish. I highly recommend Amanda at the St. Peters store.

All the materials arrived on time and the contractor did a fine job on both the floors and the stairs. All of the workers were nice, professional, and competant. I was very pleased with the finished job.

They are great. It was very positive. They were very informative when I went into their store. They were very easy to work with. I thought their pricing was reasonable. I probably would use them again in the future.

They gave us a lot of information about a lot of products which I really enjoyed. The one negative was that they really mixed up the shipping dates. They said we’d receive the flooring on a certain date, soon before that date, they called to say sorry, it would take another 3-4 weeks. We had to cancel our appointment with the company we scheduled to install the flooring because of this. We then received a call from Boardwalk the next day stating that the flooring had arrived! Since we had already canceled the appointment for the installation, we had to wait a month until we could have them installed.

Other than the wood, there was no charge. Our experience with them went very well. They offer the service to people who bought wood from them and that is the deal.

Boardwalk Hardwood Floors was on time and they did exactly what they promised. They had a very reasonable price and they did a great job with the floors. They were very helpful during the estimate as well by bringing samples to see how they would look.

No problems. They provided special nosing for top of stairs which was expensive.

The salesmen were very nice and not at all pushy. I made 3 trips into the store before making my decision. They supplied me with a list of installers to choose from. Once I made up my mind they were very helpful with the ordering process. I left a deposit for the material with the balance due upon it arriving in their warehouse. They delivered as promised and the material was very nice.

They delivered a quality product, were courteous and on time.

We brought our measurements in to the store and were given a quote printout for the 3 1/4" Oak in Honey Zickgraf Wood. We took the quote home along with a sample piece and then when we were ready to make a decision, we went back to the store, put about half down and ordered it. It took several weeks to come in. The same wood in the two 1/2 Oak in Honey was in stock along with other wood in different sizes and colors, but the wood we chose was not in stock. The salesman was not pushy and made the whole process painless.
