It went extremely poorly. They sent documents to the wrong address. They were slow to respond, and often did not respond to phone messages The loan went past the 30 day rate-lock because of the lender's slowness. The first day we were supposed to close, the lender did not get the documents prepared in time. The second day we were supposed to close, the lender required flood insurance (in error). The lender raised the closing costs without notice. The lender forgot to give a $450 credit at closing. The lender prepared a 15-year loan, instead of the negotiated 30-year loan. The lender prepared the documents incorrectly four times--each time in their own financial benefit. I had to walk out of the title company three times before the documents were prepared correctly. The lender chose the most inconvenient branch of the title company possible, requiring me to drive 30 minutes each way.
